If it is your cd-dvd rom, or your dvd's, your movies would skip, freeze, like any other movies players such as a scratch dvd played on your home dvd player. So,
did this happen before any updates to your o/s, such if you are using windows media player to play your movies?? If not, it could be a software issue, where some updates will bring your programs up to date, but uses more cpu/memory and even your GPU (graphic processor) and thus cause your movies or video to play back slowly because your computer hardware is underpower to handle the up to date versions., or it could be vise versa where your program will needs an update to the newest version to play. (Usually like adobe, java to watch youtube or online videos). You might want to see if you can play with another program and see if you get different result, or maybe undo your update to previous version.
Hi, Please turn on the PC and start tapping the f8 key until you see the Windows Advance Start Up options then you use the first option to repair your pc.
You need a good codec pack. I would suggest KL codec pack full. You can download it for free from here. http://www.codecguide.com/
It will allow you to play just about any video format in windows media player. Note if you are using a 64 bit operating system you need the 64 bit codec pack. Don't forget to rate me.
I'm assuming that you mean that the computer itself has no CD or no Floppy drive. If there is no operationg system, and no way to actually install one, then you are out of luck. There are external CD drives, but these normally run within Windows--although your computer may allow for their use on startup. If your computer is new enough and you can enable legacy USB, then you could theoretically copy a Win98 install CD to the USB drive and boot from that. If you have an operating system installed and your network is running, you can share a CD on another computer and run the setup from that computer by copying the files across the network.
looks to me u need a new video card.....also install the free download MALWAREBYTES....go to google to find download side and let it run full scan...i am sure u have a lot of maleware and other stuff in ur pc.... good luck
This procedure is from the windows media player help file.I hope it's useful: ------------------------- *To play content at variable speeds*
You can change the speed at which content plays in the Player. For example, you can slow down the playback speed if you are taking notes while watching a training video, or you can speed up the slow sections of a presentation.
•Begin playing a file.
•Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, point to Enhancements, and then click Play Speed Settings.
•Move the Play Speed slider to the speed at which you want to play the content, or click the Slow, Normal, or Fast link.
•To select speeds between the labeled play speeds, in the Enhancements pane, clear the Snap slider to common speeds check box.
•To hide the settings, click the Close button in the Enhancements pane. -------------------------
