Everything was okay until my laptop (WinME) crashed and went out for repairs and came home reformatted. I've reloaded ActiveSynch 3.5 for P/PC 2002 and during the setup opted to synch with two pc's. That may be the problem but now I can't connect and synch. It reads a connection but is unable to synch. At the "connection tab" on the jornada it tells me I need to reset the configuration or something like that. The Help files are no help. I want to go back to the original settings but I can't not even deleting ActiveSynch and reinstalling. I can't transfer files or load anything into the jornada. Any thoughts? Please? Thank you.
I have had this happen to me at work. You need to backup your Jornada on the computer that works to sync (VERY IMPORTANT) and then hard reset the Jornada (which wipes it clean). Make sure that you put the name back into the Jornada identification (it will be wiped out by the hard reset). Then try to synch on the computer that can't synch except as Guest now. It should sync fine. Then you will need to sync on the computer that works to sync to restore the backup file. Then you will be back to normal. It is a pain. I don't know why it happens but I know this solution worked for me. Let us know if it works for you.
