Question about Fuji FinePix S2 Pro Digital Camera

No picture I have a FinePix S2 Pro that I have had a couple years. Yesterday when I took pictures with it every picture is black when viewed on the LCD screen. The lens cap is off and I have tried several different lenses and memory cards, adjusted the ISO, tried it with and without a flash, but still the same result. I can view previously recorded pictures, so I know its not the LCD screen. Could the CCD have gone bad? Any thoughts by anyone?

My S2 is on its second out of warranty CCD, and Fuji replaced both for free, the first was due to the same dead CCD as many has had, the second was due to the CCD being defective to the point of being off center and producing photos that had a very distinct leaning to the right, Fuji did not charge me for either CCD's, and if the tech said otherwise, if I where you, I would call them back and say you belong to many on line forums, and have read that Fuji is replacing them at no charge, its possible that the rep you talked to is unaware of this! That is another point, make sure you talk to an actual camera tech, and not just a rep, the rep will probably give you the run around.

When I take a picture the lcd shows all black? Is there a chance that I'm using the wrong CF card or is it a bigger problem?

Fuji had a problem with the CCD unit and put out a bulletin years ago to send them back and they would replace, but they no longer can do that, as the part is not made anymore. I had the same problem.

Fuji FinePix S2 - image records in black

Could be CCD Failure ... known as ' Black Screen of Death'.
Have CCD cleaned at a reputable camera (not chain) shop and they'll test it.
Fuji were replacing units suffering this problem at one stage.

Piece of junk that took great pictures for 1 year and now shows a black screen. Do not buy any Canon products. We also have one of these pieces of junk at work, now displays a E 18 code. Appears Canon wants to make mucho dollars by producing ****.

If the picture taken from digicam are ok when viewed from a computer, the lcd viewer has a loose connection or defective already, if you can open your unit, try to disconnect and reconnect the lcd flexwire inside.

Error

Before the heart attack, check your lens. I believe its the D series lenses that need to be set to all the way open. I get this "err" alot, and then look down to see that Ive rotated the appature.
