Hi, Just got my Avaya WorldCard Silver 802.11b card to work with a Jornada 680 but can't get it to do a sync with my PC over the network. I'd established a partnership with the PC via serial and both "Network Connection" and the PC computername come up in the ActiveSync options on the Jornada. But when I attempt a Connect, the "Connecting to Desktop" window comes up with "PC contacted. Locating connection agent. Please wait...", then shortly disappears without making a connection and no activity on the PC. I've tried this with both ActiveSync and Outlook open on the PC with no effect. I know the Jornada and PC are talking OK over the network because I can ping the Jornada from the PC, and can browse shared directories on the PC from the Jornada using Pocket IE. Only other relevant thing I can think of with regards to the PC is that it's running XP & ActiveSync 3.6. Any ideas?
Hi. Put your desktop ip-address into your network card wins-address field (on your Jornada) Works for me :)
