I am unable to log onto the internet using the 568, Socket 56k modem, with the PC2002 operating system. I have been told that I cannot use ISP providers such as Earthlink with PC2002. Is this true and is there a fix for this problem?
Start, Settings, Control Panel, Folder Options, see if you have the correct settings. Make sure the user ID is the same as you signed up with. Check to see if you are using the right password. Who do you currently have internet service with. Call them and have them go thru with you your settings. What version of IE do you have? You might want to update. Also did you recently download and install anything. If you downloaded anything from RealNetworks it will mess up your settings because they change some things so that they can access your computer anytime you are on the web. If you have firewall see if it is stopping access.
