I canno find my contacts on windows live hotmail

In the top left hand corner there should be drop down list Click on the people tab all contacts are there
or
Live email contacts
Windows Live Hotmail lists all contacts alphabetically, to a maximum of 25 on a page.
When all the contact fields are filled out, the contact is sorted alphabetically by first name.
If a first name is not entered for a contact, it is arranged alphabetically by last name.
If neither a first or last name is entered, then it is arranged alphabetically by email address.
To find Hotmail contacts on Windows Live Hotmail, use the search field.
Log into Windows Live Hotmail using your username and password.
Click "Contacts" on the left side of the page.

Type all or part of the first name, last name, or username of the person you are looking for in the text field marked "Search Your Contact List."
Press "Enter," or click the "Search" icon inside the text field.
A list of contacts matching the name you typed will be presented.

Place your mouse over avatar of the contact you are looking for.
A pop-up menu will open.

Click "Send Email" to send an email to that person.
Click "View Details" to see the contact's profile page.

Click "All Contacts" on the top left of the screen to clear the search results.

When creating a new email in Outlook 2007, if I click on the "To" button to pull up an address from my Contacts they are alphabetized by First Name. How can I get them listed by Last Name?

To setup up contacts by the person's last name. In Outlook, when you compose a new message, and then click the To or Ccbutton, the Contacts list may display names that are sorted by the contact's first name. Here's how you can change the list to display entries by the contact's last name.
Sort the Contacts list by the File As field
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click E-mail accounts.
  3. Click View or change existing directories or address books, and then click Next.
  4. Click Outlook Address Book, and then click Change.
  5. Under Outlook Address Books, click Contacts: Mailbox -YourMailboxName, and then under Show names by, click File As (Smith, John).
  6. Click Close, and then click Finish.
Verify that the newly created contacts are filed in last name, first name order
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Preferences tab, and then click Contact Options.
  3. In the Default "File As" order list, click Last, First.
  4. Click OK twice.
  5. To view the new Contacts list sort order, restart Outlook.
NOTE If you want to display a particular contact in a different order than the rest of the Contact list, you can modify the File As field in individual contact cards. For example, you may want to sort some contacts by the Company field.

Outlook 2007 Contact

Do you remember when you imported the output from your BB? One of the last steps after you have chosen the file to import shows a button for Map Custom Fields. Choose that button and then drag Full Name from the left side to FIRST NAME on the right side. When I did that, Outlook shows them in order of First name.

Because your previous import mapped FullName from BB to Last Name, that's the way it's showing. I tried within Outlook to change it around and it would not change it for me either.

Address book contacts saved on SIM or PHONE

By default, the Propel displays names exactly as they were stored. It is likely that u have stored names with last name first. If "Bob Sanders " is stored as contact, hitting the "B" button should bring up Bob Sanders and not Sanders Bob...Try removing battery for 15 secs and try again...Regards

Error 0x80040fb3

Hi,
Typically its caused by a contact not having a FIRST NAME, LAST NAME and COMPANY NAME. (don't confuse FIRST NAME and LAST NAME with FULL NAME, they're not the same!!)
Do an advanced search in Microsoft Outlook to find contacts with blank First Name, Last Name, and Company fields.

1. Open Contacts in Microsoft Outlook.
2. Open the Tools menu.
3. Select Advanced Find from the Find submenu.
4. Select the Advanced tab.
5. Click Field.
6. Select First Name from the Frequently-used fields submenu.
7. Select is empty from the Condition list.
8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 for Last Name and Company.
9. Click Find Now.

Any contacts you find as a result of this need to be modified to include a first, last or company name (not all 3, just one of the 3)

By upgrading to DTM 4.2.2 or higher, that problem should be ignored (skipped), so if its still happening, I'd first go through the steps listed in that link above.
