Recently, my Jornada 525 is having trouble start. If I left it off for a while, it won't response to any key. I often had to reset, or even hard reset, to get it start. I thought it was the battery problem, so I replaced it with a new one. It didn't fix the problem. Does anyone here experience the same problem? I'd appreciate if you could shed some light on me.
This is a vary old product that nobody uses now. its like DoDo bird.
why use this device, there is no service support at all on it.
if compelled to use legacy devices,
ask at HP so they can all be shocked, posting for this.
here they are, REAL HP.

SOURCE: USB connectivity for Jornada 520
This may be a simple case of removing all the entire active sync directory. If you used to connect via serial+com it wont be detected on usb. Remove active sync from your pc via the add remove program feture, then reboot and re install. Then run the make a connection again from active sync. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Jornada 525 and Windows Media Player 9
Only a hint. Did you check the small print via the downloads for Pocket PC on the Microsoft web pages? If you download from the regular OS pages they don't mention that certain Pocket PC generations are not supported. I noticed this but only on Media Player downloads fom the pocket PC pages but it takes time to find this more detailed info. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/downloads/pocketpc/defau lt.mspx

SOURCE: can I update jornada 525 to poquet pc 2002 ?
Unfortunately, the Jornada 525 cannot be upgraded to Pocket PC 2002. The Pocket PC 2002 operating system requires a handheld with a StrongARM processor. The Jornada 525 has a Hitachi SH-3 processor.
