I am unable to choose a USB connection, HotSync or load HotSync Manager. The Palm desktop organizer program is installed and loads properly. Also, I am networked with the company intranet. I loaded the software from the Palm website since I forgot my CD with the software. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe you need to un-install the Palm software and then re-install it - make sure you use the Custom Install - as that is where the "Sync to Outlook" box is to be checked
SOURCE: How do I activate my handheld for a specific user account?
Definitely something to address with Audible Digital Rights Management of Audible files is controlled and managed by Audible. In general the way these schemes work is to write some kind of key or token file to your handheld when you first setup your Audble account. Unless the keyfile is present, the player will give you the response you mentioned. With Audible, you can move the authorization from one device to another by deactivating one device and activating another. In your case, you seem to have deactivated your Zire 31 somehow. I suspect that you may have put a new user on the Zire 31 and therefore the DRM keyfile is no longer part of your files on the Zire. It would be associated with the old username and no longer on your handheld. I suspect what you have to do is re-authorize your Zire 31 using the Audible Manager on the PC.

Hello Every body,
I had the same problem, and went to the device manager. It said the driver was gone. So to solve this, Just uninstall, and reinstall the software. And it will Sync. at least it did for me.

The best thing to do is to go to the free palm chat service
they offer. I have used this and it worked good for me. Here is a link to the
free chat service. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a Palm
Chat. From there click on the link that says Chat Now and follow the online
prompts. Best wishes...I hope this will help you.
