SD card problem

Hello I have a Big problem I have just bought a digitalt Camera type: Qv-R41/Qv-R51 the camera runs on Memory From the camera without a card But when i Bought a SD card With 256 mb and put it in the camera it did'ent work.. I have read the manuel up to several times but it doesen't say anything about Changing cards from In built in memory to Sd card... can you help me ?

    the green light keeps flashing and i cant power on the camera. what do i need to do?

Format the SD card using camera's format function. The SD card should work without a problem. BTW, what do you mean by Camera type: Qv-R41/Qv-R51? The camera should be either 41 or 51. 41 is 4MP and 51 is 5MP. Which camera do you have?

Hi,


Just do the following steps which is very simple to fix your problem. Take a paper clip and if you look in the battery casing there will be three brass conductors if thats what you call them. Just bent them up to make sure that there is contact between the battery and the metal positive and negative and it will work for you.

use 2 gb . 4 gb card causing error because of no speed. before putting it check weather 4 Gb card contain 40x speed or more

CARD IS LOCKED
Write Protection: There is a tab on the memory card so you will you need to remove it from the camera and change the position of this tab to "unlock" it.

That's why whoever sold it to you, it's broken. Digicams are cheap enough nowadays to purchase new along with cheap large storage memory cards which comes bundled during sales.

Camera is blocking card
What does your camera do when you try to format the card? Casio only recommends using Sandisc, Toshiba and Panasonic memory cards. I dont believe that there is a firmware upgrade available for your camera that would fix what is going on. Try formatting your memory card first and hopefully that will make it able to save on your card instead of internal memory.

Memory Card Locked
Do you have a computer that will read the "memoery cards"? Try reading the cards. If there is nothing on the card you still should get a message telling you the status. Check the setup of the camera. Some cameras allow you to lock the memory card from setup memu. You might also need to "format" the card before you use them.

Taping the the door is about all you can do. n Battery short life may be another issue -what type of batteries are you using? Ni-Cad or NiMah are the only acceptable AA type cells[Alkaline do not have the oomph] Coming back the to door, there will not be a repair answer to this I feel- there as usually no spare parts availability.
