Question about JVC MX-D761T Shelf System

Hi,
Is there is power in your system. is there is any power indication.if not then you have to check the Powre transformer, its fuse, and the small standby transformer near the power transformer. If the stanby transformer is faulty then there will no power indication in your system.
If there is power and the cd is not reading then, You have to check the laser pickup unit inside your system. First of all purchase a laser cleaning cd and insert the same in to your system. If will clean the laser pickup unit to some extent. if then also it is not reading any cd then the laser pickup is faulty. As it has a changer mechanisum it will be difficult to you to replace the lase pickup unit.Because you have to remove so many parts from the mechanisum to reach to the laser pickup unit. If so try to consult some one experienced in it.

I understand. Now you asked the correct question with more clarification. In this model at the time of power ON the system control ic will reset the cd mechanism befor going to any further operation . If the loading belt or any other fault in the cd mechanism the system control will halt there. Will not go for any other operation. In this time if you try to select any other inputs then system cotrol will not let you to select the same. It will be busy on reseting the cd mechanism. first of all You have to check the loading belt of your cd mechanism. also try to wtach is the loading motor runs at the time of power ON. There is also a chance for the system control ic get faulty. common complaint in this model. First of all try to replace the belts in the cd mechanism and in the tape deck mechanism

This did not fix or answer my question or problem. The system has power. the CD, the Cassette Player, neither one works on the system. WHY?
