Question about LG Dishwashers

LG LD-14AW3 Dishwasher leaking after cycle

Our LG dishwasher is leaking water into the dishwasher and eventualy over fills and leaks out after the cycle has finished. During the cycle it is fine but once it finishs it leaks.

Could this be the water inlet valve not closing correctly or something causing it not to close?

Thanks

Sounds like you've diagnosed the solution on your own.. Most of the inlet valves are spring loaded so that if power is removed or disabled.. it defaults to a closed state and doesn't allow water int the wash basin. To open, they need to be energized by the control system so you may have one of two issues.. a faulty inlet valve that doesn't spring closed when it is not energized or a controller that is comanding that valve to open ( less likely of the two) For a quick test.. make sure the DW is dry inside and open the door. wait and watch for water to enter the basin.. If it does begin to fill up.. your inlet valve could be the root of your problem.. It is also possible that you are back-siphoning waste water in from the drain system. If the water looks dirty then that is more than likely the problem so you may have a clogged pump, kinked drain hose or your drain system itself is not draining as fast as the DW pump forces the water out.
You should routinely clean the pump filter so that the pump can remove all the wash water without having to draw it thru food debris caught in the filter.. Hope someof these ideas will help you solve your problem..

Some water is leaking under the dishwasher and on the kitchen floor during the end of the wash cycle.

Does it leak during pump-out only?
If so , must be drain hose .To see everything, remove kick plate to isolate leak. Check hose connections. Fill and drain and observe.Or run a whole cycle with kick plate off to find leak.

Good luck

I have a GE GSD 5130 Dishwasher that leaks about 12 oz of water when it is pumping out the wash water and the rinse water. Its fine during the wash and filling cycle. Is it a seal problem?

This is more likely the hose connection at the drain pump or the pump housing is leaking. You will need to remove the toe kick, place unit into a drain cycle and inspect for a leak. Here is a couple links that should help.

Bottom fills with water, line not clogged

This means that the outlet valve or the drain motor is faulty or their is a leak in the pipe between them and the machine.

Water leaking from dishwasher lg model lds5811ww

The drain line is clean. Have you checked to make sure the the rest of the drain is clear all the way down to the main drain?. Also check the pump to make sure that it is working properly, it might be pumping water in, but it may not be wanting to pump the water out

When the dishwasher is finished the waters still left at the bottom and it leaks while it's washing

Reduce the amount of detergent used, observe it during wash cycle, find out where the water leaks from. it might be through door gasket replaced it.

Low water level

One of 2 problems is causing this.  Either you have a bad float switch which is located on the left side of the dishwasher, or you have a water leak and is losing water when it is in the wash mode.  You will need to have it checked by a qualified LG technician.

Whirlpool dishwasher leaks everywhere

CHECK YOUR HOSES FOR CRACKS. BE SURE THEY ARE ATTACHED SECURELY TO THE PUMP OULET.
THERE IS ALSO A BLACK HOSE FROM THE VALVE THAT GOES UP THE LEFT SIDE TO A VACUUM BREAK ON THE SIDE OF THE TUB. BE SURE THE HOSE HASN'T BEEN DAMAGED OR DISCONNECTED. IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT SUPPLY HOSE, PULL THE DISHWASHER OUT OF IT'S INSTALLATION AND TURN IT ON. WATCH FOR WATER DRIPPING ON THE FLOOR AND TRACE IT BACK TO FIND THE PROBLEM.

Leaking water on floor during drain cycle

First the source of the leak needs to be identified. pull the machine out from under the counter and remove the left side panel exposing the blue float assembly. Turn the machine on and observe the fill cycle. if water comes out anywhere on the fill mechanism then the inlet valve needs to be replaced. once the machine has filled and begun to cycle cancel the program and drain the unit. observe closly where the leak is happening. a leak during drain usually indicated a leaking drain hose.
