First I'd try a hard reset (tiny red button at the back), if that doesn't help, it is likely to be the battery.

My kindle of two years old battery will only charge to half full, is that normal and can I replace the battery

Lithium ION batteries are usually rechargeable. The use mode for these batteries is that there are a set number of recharges that equate to the life of the battery. Usually that life is approximately 1,000 charges.
If you use your battery to 50% then recharge, you can do this ~2,000 times. As the life of the battery is used up, the maximum charge lessens which means where you may have had 8 hours of play time when the battery was new, you will only have 6 hours as the battery life is used up.
In order for a Lithium ION battery to recharge there must be at least a small amount of charge left as a "seed" for that recharge. If you drain a L-ION battery down to zero, it may never recharge again or the max charge will be reduced to an insignificant amount of the original full charge. eg instead of 8 hours you may only get 15 minutes, or 5 minutes, or no minutes.
You are much better off recharging when 50% depleted than using it up til your product stops.
L-ION batteries cannot be repaired only replaced. Most cheap products using L-ION batteries cannot have their batteries replaced.

Places like Batteries + are able to replace some tablet batteries.

How to change batteries in a Rascal

The Rascal 600/300, remove the seat, lift off the cover, unplug a battery, replace the old battery with a new one, putting the cable connections on the same way, red is +, black is -. Do the same with the next battery, reconnect the anderson plugs, reinstall the cover and seat and plug in the charger with the key on watch to see the needle raises up toward the full mark, allow to charge fully, overnight is good. keep the bats charged up not allowing them to drop below half way for the first 20 charges to break in the batteries. as a rule charge the scooter after every use!

3 month old new phone. samsung tocco lite. battery problem

1) faulty battery - you'd need to get a replacement from the manufacturer (should be free if still under warranty)
2) when you initially charged the battery after purchasing, if you used it at all before it was completely charged it won't hold a charge.
3) if you live or travel in mountain area, phones lose battery power quicker due to an increase in elevation and distance from nearest tower.
4) if phone has been exposed to moisture or direct sunlight for an extended amount of time, it can damage the phone's ability to hold a charge.

honestly, your best bet is to replace the battery & allow it to charge for 24 hours in "off mode". if the problem persists, then send it in to be repaired.

14.4v cordless drill...battery does not get a full charge

Batteries retain a memory. If you only drain the battery half way and than recharge all the time it will only keep half a charge. Try running it all the way down and than recharge it, this can take some time. Let it run till it gets very very slow and almost stops, but don't go past where it stops or it will not take a new charge at all. It does not always work, but worth a try before buying a new one. Good Luck

Power problem

Seeing as you notice that your battery life is half, this most likely means your battery is no longer able to hold a charge, or a full charge. It could also mean the battery is defective.
If your laptop is still under warranty, the manufacturer may replace it. If not, you'll have to buy a new battery, unless you always keep it plugged in anyways.

Can't charge the battery

# New batteries need to be drained by using the camcorder until the viewfinder indicates the battery is empty. Follow these steps: Once the battery has been drained, you may use the charger to recharge the battery. # Consult your manual for the amount of time the battery requires on the charger to get a full charge. # A full charge will be delivered by the charger. # Some camcorders have a Refresh feature, which will automatically drain the initial charge on the battery. This allows the battery to fully recharge.
