What is the administrator password of acer aspire 5738Z?

There is no default password for Administrator user.
Normally you can set the Administrator during installation. If you don't know or you didn't install the system yourself ask who install the windows for the password.

Hi Im trying to restore my acer aspire 5742 back to factory default in windows7. I do not know how to start the process, I have the recovery discs I took them the day I bought it. Can you help please....

Hi
Please save any files or photo,s that you may have on your laptop ist

Then you could try this method without using the disks
Click Start" menu

Click Programs

Click Acer Recovery Management

Click the Restore button on the bottom of the dialog box that opens

Click Restore System to Factory Default

Click Yes in the warning dialog box which asks if you wish to continue the recovery process

Click yes Start to restore the computer to the default factory settings

Sometimes there is a default acer password which is quite often 000000 that is 6 zero's

or place the recovery disk into your cd

restart the laptop pressing F12 i believe

then follow on screen instructions

many thanks

please let us know if this has helped you so that we can hopefully help others

Restore aspire 5610

Hi Fentylfc,

  • Click "Start" menu.

  • Click "Programs."

  • Click "Acer Recovery Management."
  • Click the "Restore" button on the bottom of the dialog box that opens.
  • Click "Restore System to Factory Default."
  • Click "Yes" in the warning dialog box which asks if you wish to continue the recovery process.
  • Click "Start" to restore the computer to the default factory settings
  • If you are unable to access the Start menu, use the recovery CDs that came with the computer and always make a back-up CD before restoring a computer to factory defaults. Good Luck...

Need to restore my acer aspire to factory setting but never got a recovery disc at purchase, how do I go about doing this as i am not that technically minded

"Restoring a system should be a last ditch effort in trying to repair a computer, since restoration causes all programs and many files to be lost forever. Restoring an Acer computer to its original factory settings can be done in a few easy steps."
    1. Click “Start” menu.
    2. Click “Programs.”
    3. Click “Acer Recovery Management.”
    4. Click the “Restore” button on the bottom of the dialog box that opens.
    5. Click “Restore System to Factory Default.”
    6. Click “Yes” in the warning dialog box which asks if you wish to continue the recovery process.
    7. Click “Start” to restore the computer to the default factory settings.

Need to restore to factory default but my lappy gives me a blank black screen with a blinking underscore on the top left of the screen.

There might be one step you could try to restore the system to factory specifications. When you turn the laptop on, and you see the Acer splash screen, press the Alt-F10 keys together at the same time, and this should hopefully bring the Acer eRecovery system up, provided that your computer has the built-in recovery partition. If it asks for a password, try using the default of "000000". If that doesn't work, then a password has been entered into the system, and there is no way to reset it, however there is a way to find out what the password is, however it does require the use of the Ubuntu Operating System (which is free to download, here)

Restore Acer Aspire One AOA110-1588 PC

There are two way's you can restore your laptop,

When you power on your laptop the acer splash screen pop's up, at that time press the -Alt- key and F10 key at the same time,
at the eRecovery Management menu it should ask you how you want to restore, click on the restore option, or

From the window's desktop click on start, then all program's, then acer Empowering Technology, click on Acer eRecovery Management, create a password, click on restore, then click on restore system to factroy default.

    System Restore

any changes to windows registry that are automatically done such as Windows background updates will make restore un-useable. Microsoft should provide this warning, maybe they do but I have not seen it. Try disabling auto-updates, but first you must get back to "...set computer back to factory default".
