How i install window xp in macbook with preinstalled os x

If you're not into desktop virtualization (running an OS inside of another OS at the same time), you can do something called dual boot, in which you'll have the option after you turn the computer on to use either Windows XP or Mac. You'll have to reboot everytime you want to switch, though.

Remember to keep a current backup of your data before attempting a Windows XP installation.

When you run window XP , window xp just share the hardware from Apple OS. While you install window XP in BootCamp, it will need the driver for itself because the Apple OS wasn't running. You need to get to device manager and check out which drivers need to be install, take note, search and download driver then install it.

you can purchase the windows xp os disk from any supported retailer, use the disk to reconfigure your hard drive and system, im not sure how well this will work, considering apple only makes mac os. you can try it, but im not sure how your macBook will respond, good luck

The first thing you need to do is repartition the hard drive. This will effectively erase the drive because partitions run below the OS level.

You create two partitions and then you can load each OS to its own partition. When the box boots you choose the OS you want to start and thats it...I think if you put the preferred OS in the first partition it will load that one by default.

You need both OS disks to do this so make sure your factory Vista disk works.

you sould find on mac os x disk 1 or 2 .after installing windows ,start windows insert disk 1 of mac os x it automatically detectthe drivers and install them . if sound not coming after that then install the drivers generaaly used in windows they work fine. hope it will help you. so rate this article plz

Try to lock the port either USB or LPT with that specific Virtual MAchine on permanent basis when using Windows in VM Ware

The drivers for XP are on the official OS X Leopard DVD. Install this when running XP and then run the Apple Drivers Set up on the disk.

Go to the below Toshiba link and choose Download, then choose your computer model and then the operating system. Note that there are several pages of files, not all a displayed on the first screen.

This is possible but will take some patience. Install Windows XP & Service Pack 2 Then check what drivers are NOT installed by going to device manager. Then go the the Compaq page that lists the drivers for Vista: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=3446906&lang=en Make a note of the name/model of these drivers and search for the XP equivelent usually by visitng the device manufacturers website. Im sorry this is complicated and long winded but its the only way.
