Hi,
I don't know why, but i have a problme with my battery, my ipaq says that is an unrecongnized battery but it's a original one and i use it usually.
When i put the ipaq on the docking and directly with the cable, nothing, no charge ???
Do you know this troubleshooting ???

As far as i can remember, there are no battery door for ipaq. Once the device opens, gently pry out the original battery. This one should come right off (it is only stuck using some double sided tape). All you need to do is to replace the double adhesive tape if you are going to replace the battery then close the unit. Tip: Use an old credit card or something that won't damage the case to gently lift the battery out.
That's probably what's wrong. Mine sat unused for five years and the battery wouldn't stay charged either. I bought one on the internet, installed it easily and it works like new.
Hi there Connect the camera to the PC, transfer the good pics to a folder on the PC, then use the camera's menu to format the card for use again, if you format the card before transferring the pics, you will loose them all.
Hi, Jim--
When you take the battery out of an IPAQ you're performing a hard reset. I've got 4 different IPAQs and it does the same thing on all of them.
My solution was to back the IPAQ up using the internal backup program (back up to IPAQ storage) and then replace the battery, then restore the last backup.
Saved me a heck of a lot of time. It's been hard to remember to back up everytime I add a program or change data majorly, but it's probably the best thing to do.
Hi, I have same problem. After upgrade bios to version 1.10 my ipaq h1940 don`t start windows. When switch ON appears HP logo, time line go to end, and ipaq stay block. No possible switch OFF and no starting windows.
if you have inserted SD or other cards and devices in your IPAQ try to stay IPAQ without them....
if ypu don`t have it ---- then go to the service center....
