Yes there is. First turn the unit OFF & unplug it. The remove the air intake filter and clean it. After that, remove the water collection bucket and was it in warm water and mild dish washing liquid. Rinse and thoroughly dry. Doing this should help to eliminate the odor.

My potable am or also smells when I turn it on but there is no drip tray!! Just a knob that loosens and drains but very little water comes out! Please help...it smells awful!

The smell usually comes
when the washer is unable to drain water completely, you can run your washer at
its hottest temperature setting with 1 cup of vinegar inside the unit. After
this take off the bottom front panel and clean it completely, also clean the
drain hose and drain pump filter, the smell should disappear after doing all
