Looks like the infamous protection circuit error. Can you give me more details please? Does the LED stay on after the set turns itself off?

NOT A GOOD IDEA AT ALL!

You likely now have one of two things happening:

1. Green power light constantly blinks and will not stop(should blink for 70 seconds and go out).

2. Green power light comes on and a few seconds later goes off.

Which do you have?

I have a mitubishi 42 1080i tv projection. i turn it on & 2 seconds later it turns off help

Provide correct model number but TRY:

when it shuts off, on the front of the set push both the menu and input buttons at the same time and hold them for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like: 2 blinks, 2 blinks a pause and repeat it 4 more times.

Let me know error code and I will assist you.

If this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

1-2 normal operation
2-3 i believe is short circuit protection = probably a convergence failure
