To find the model number I have to open the door and faintly etched into the metal surround at the top I can see the model number.

No water is coming in and its almost like it is 3/4 of the way through the cycle and stuck in the same position.

If the wash motor continuous to run but the cycle is frozen then most likely the thermostat or heater is faulty. Try to run one of the short cycles like rinse only to confirm if the cycle is completed.

Gritty/sandy feeling on dishes from dishwasher

You could only check the basics. Since the dishes are clean, it means they went through the wash cycle. It also means that that the holes on the washer arm are not blocked. If they were salty and dirty the wash arms would be something to check. And since they came out feeling like salt is on them its possible they didn't rinse and its also possible the dirty water didn't drain. Were your drain and fill hoses checked or did the techs just check the dish washing machine itself? Its also possible the water for rinse is not hot enough. Before the rinse cycle comes around try running the hot water at your kitchen faucet. Any other issues may be within the cycling of the machine.

Our dishwasher does not progress beyond the wach cycle to the rinse cycle. It will run for hours and still has soap in it.

I'm positive of this, but your dishwasher may qualify for a somewhat recent recall. Call bosch to see. If you can get it to drain manually and put into rinse and hold manually, but it won't progress on it's own, then it's the control board. Hope this helps.

New Bosch dishwasher mold before cycle

The Bosch is a very good dishwasher and it is very airtight. I would suggest you NOT leave the dishes inside that long, and always use the Power Scrub Plus cycle if you have it. It will get the water as hot as possible so mold does not continue to grow in the plumbing and filters.

It is NOT the dishwasher unit causing the problem.
