My Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and mouse 6000 keep causing my cursor to move without me touching it. Its constantly scrolling left to right and up and down keeping me from browsing or on mozilla firefox even typing in an url. I thought the batteries needed to be replaced but that didn't help. And it says all the drivers are updated. Not sure what else to do.

Hi, Check that your desk or table is level. Also download and run an adware scanner. ( adaware, Ccleaner and Malwarebites are good scanners) Run your anti-virus too. This should fix it. Good luck.

MS Mouse Optical 2000, scrolls by itself, opens links and moves the cursor all by itself.

Interference from other wireless users was my problem. The signal coming from other offices around me interfered with my mouse/keyboard. I had to switch back to wired mouse/keyboard.

Re toshiba techra 8000

Some laptops have a touch pad between the keyboard and the edge of the laptop. This works like a mouse except you slide your finger around the pad to move the mouse pointer and the buttons next to the touch pad are the left and right buttons.
Other laptops have a small round button in the middle of the keyboard which is a mini joystick and it is used to move the mouse pointer around, it will have a couple of mouse buttons at the botom edge of the keyboard.
You can connect a normal mouse to your laptop, it is mush easier than using the laptop's touch pad or mini joystick.

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0 Scrolling has gone awry

This may not be a solution for you but at least it may explain the cause of the problem. I recently had the same problem - the scroll wheel suddenly began to go crazy, jumping all the way to the bottom or the top of a document, or randomly skipping around. The unit was still under warranty, and Microsoft sent me a new mouse. Since they did not require me to return the old mouse, I decided to take it apart to see if I could find the problem. I found poorly soldered electrical joints to the optical sensor & LED which convert the scroll wheel movement to electrical signals. After I resoldered these connections the mouse worked fine again.

Hi, I'm not positive but it sounds like your memory needs to be incr4eased. How much memory do you have installed now? This effeminately would cause the problem. Bud
