I am trying to add software to my computer and for some reason its not reading the disk (the disk is new). Install wizard does not come up either.

www.canon.com/support/dowloads remove the old driveers from add/remove software in the control panel, run the installation program and u should be good

you'll have to set up network sharing between computers.

get here and download and install all related software with windows7 ..cause in the software you installed the driver is not present..and this is the reason that the camera is not recognized
also ..if you have the driver disk ..and it has the driver for windows 7 (or for vista on 32 at least ..) insert the disk ..and the camera ..and go to control panel and run the add new hardware wizard..and try to let it find the driver automatically from the disk ..
if it do not find the driver .install all related software from the support site I linked you ..cause it is not specified which one contains the driver and which not ..but I assume that the ones that are made for browsing photos .have the driver inside..

How to install Printer

Unless you are running some non-windows operating system, or some very old computer, or your hard disk drive is full, there is no reason why you cant install office on your pc. What version of the Office are you trying to install, how much disk space is required? Make sure your user account, the one you sign into the computer with has the administrator privileges to add and remove software. These abilities will not be enabled if you are using a guest account or a simple use account. things that might interfere are certain malware and virus infections that prevent the user from installing new applications. You can boot into safemode with network support and download Microsoft Security Essentials from the microsoft website. Make sure when you log on using safemode, you are using an accoun that is equipped with privileges to install software. Install the MSE and run a full scan. Then reboot and log in with an administrator privileged account and try installing your MS Office again. Make sure you have sufficient disk space on your hard drive. If you had a trial version of the software that cam bundled on your computer, you may need to uninstall the trial version first. Also, make sure you CD is not damaged. Try it on another machine to see if it will install, if will not, take the CDROM back place of purchase and ask for an exchange.

The Norton should have come with a install disk. Assuming that you have the disk, here are the steps:

First, Uninstall your current antivirus software. (It is recommended to unplug your internet connection until you have reinstalled the Antivirus software)

To uninstall:
go to start menu > click "computer" or "my computer" (depends on which windows system you have) > click "add or remove programs" or "uninstall or change a program" > on the list, select Norton antivirus and click unstall > follow the steps that show up on the screen

To install: put the install disk in the drive. The disk should start up automatically. IF IT DOES NOT: go to "computer" or "my computer" and right click on your disk drive and select autoplay (or something similar... once again, the exact label will depend on your operating system) The disk should start a installation wizard that will walk you through the rest of the process....

if the pc ...doesnt find the software ..you need to reinstall the software ...or run it manually ...so ...plug the camera ...insert the software ...and run the add new hardware wizzard ...when will prompt ya ...choose manually install and point the wizard ( browse ) to the disk drive ....it will find the software it needs and it will install i t...

If you connect and turn on the printer then turn on your computer it should start the found new hardware wizard. don't do anything until or IF it asks you to install the disc, the make sure you direct it to find the files under the correct drive letter which is usually "D" or "E" .Good luck, .Dana

You need to goto add remove programs and remove anything with c6380. then put the disk in again and reinstall. If that doesn't work remove again but this time after uninstall don't use the disk that came with the printer have the computer wizard search onlin for proper installation...
