I cant connect with the router because i forgot the password

If you check your own wifi password than go to wifi setting and click Show characters check box but if you are using router and forgot your wifi router than try to reset your router wifi password. If you need any technical guidance than follow Mac Technical Support .

check first the connection if you can connect directly to your modem without the router ..

if does, connect again the modem to your computer and then router to your modem ..check the lights ..

now open a browser (e.g internet explorer) go to the address bar and then type 192.168.1.1

leave the username as it is and type ADMIN for the password ..
go to wireless settings and check for your password ..

Are you looking for the wireless password or the password of the router?
If you want the password of the router, then try the default password of the router. If the default password doesn't work then you will need to reset the router and reconfigure the router.
If you are looking for the wireless network password, then you will need to open the set up page of the router. Is there any computer connected to the router ? If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router. Or any other computer which is able to go online using the router. Check the IP address on that computer. open the set up page of the router. Set up page of the router is the page where you will find all the settings of the router. under the wireless section you will find the wireless network password

reset you router on factory set with reset button and need to reconfigure again.

To find the password/passphrase on the Linksys router, connect a PC to one of it's Ethernet ports, load a web browser, and go to the URL http://192.168.1.1/. This will take you to a popup box which asks you to enter a username and password to login to your router. On older models the username is left blank and the password is “admin”. On newer models, both the username and password is “admin”.

Once you get in to the router management tool, look for the security portion. There you will find the password or passphrase you are using for your WEP or WPA security encryption.

To change any setting on the router , you will need to access the router set up.

If not then you will need to connect computer to the router

You may have forgot your network key (encryption key) but do you have your password for your router? if so you can use a wired connection to login and create a new encryption key. If you cant login to your router you will have to set it back to default and reprogram it

If you are referring to the password to get in to the router page, it is admin for both username and password field.
