Wand attached to hose - how do you detach? Kenmore central vacuum system model s107 34730

Many central vacuums have similar or the same parts made by a small number of manufacturers. I found the MD Central Vacuum website to be very helpful and I hope it solves your problem. I have attached pictures and descriptions from their website so you can see if this is what your wand looks like. If so, to separate the wand from the floor brush unit there should be a lever or button on the brush housing you can push with your foot to release the wand. If you are asking about where the wand connects to the hose you push that black button that you see at the top of the wand in the picture, the top smaller black part. I hope this helps.

Remove hose from 66T6

I know how frustrating this can be. Try turning the hose and wands in opposite directions where they connect. Once the hose and wand is separated you'll be able to connect the pet hair attachment.

Why does my dyson vacuum cleaner tip over when using the wand

Hi there,

Your Dyson should not tip over while you're using the hose and wand. If it seems to be doing this, please call us free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US), as we may be able to offer some helpful advice on the best way to use the machine.

Best wishes,

I can't figure out how to hook up hose attachment to dyson 07

You have a reversible wand on the DC07. You have to separate the wand from the hose first, then turn it around and reconnect it. Once that is done you will be able to use the attachments on the end of the wand. You can also connect your attachments to the hose.
To separate the wand:
1) Take the wand off the back of the machine
2) Place one hand on the Handle and one hand on the gray flexible hose.
3) Push the flexible hose down. You will see a long metal rod appearing. Push until the hose clicks into place at the bottom of the metal rod.
4) You'll see a half-moon shape button with a picture of a lock on the solid gray plastic part at the top of the hose - push it, this will separate the wand from the hose.
5) Turn the wand around
6) Push the purple wand cap with the holes in it back, it exposes a short dark gray pipe, about an inch in length
7) Connect the hose to the short pipe
8) Attach your tools to the top of the metal rod and have fun

Carpet attachment

Check the plug ends at the top of the wand and the plug going into the hose handle, also at the bottom of the wand. It sounds like they may be burnt, if so they will need to be replaced. One cause of these connections going bad is not turning the power head off when connecting or disconnecting. Therre are other causes, the switch in the handle is going bad, also some of these cannisters have a relay mounted by the vac motor, sometimes they go bad.
