Me and my F707 - How do I learn to...

Can anyone point me to a site where I can learn to shoot better with my F707? I also have an external flash as well. I'd love to learn to bounce my flash better (rather than doing it with auto settings) Any information where I can learn would be great. I also have an older book "The 35mm Photographers Handbook" and I'm learning a lot from that. Thanks in advance!

Why do I always get "red eye" in my photos?

The simple answer is that the flash on a point and shoot camera is so close to the lens that the light bounces off the back of the subjects eye and you get the red of the blood vessels. That's why cameras have a flash setting called "red eye" which is very useful when shooting in a low light situation.

I insert a memory stick and it says "No memory Stick" although it will take and record pictures . Does anyone know where i can purchase a 128 Memory stick for the DSC -F707?

You should purchase online from some secure seller.
Like here, its Sandisk Homepage.
search for the compatible Card from the bottom right tab.

Also Note that DSC -F707 doesn't support more than 128-Mb cards.

If helpful, Kindly DO RATE!
Best Regards.

One time use camera-defective

these cameras when taken apart actually have a AA battery inside for the flash. If the camera has been on the shelf for a long time then you may have old battery. Check the date on the camera and be sure that is at least two years past current.

Canon Rebel XTI Flash issue

Maybe there's a problem with your camera's pop-up flash.

Contact Canon Customer Support, and see what they can do for you. Probably they will point where you can get your camera repaired.

Flash on a supersampler

You can fire a flash independently of the camera while you're taking a photo, but no flashes can be "hooked up" to the camera itself.

Red eye problem

The best way is to keep the flash as far away from the lens as possible. If you have the option of using an external flash, that would be a great solution. You can also use ?Bounce Mode? to change the light dispersion around the lens. Another possible solution would be to bypass the use of flash by giving more exposure time or opening the shutter. In a case where the lighting is marginal, these actions can replace the use of flash.

Flash doesn't work on my F707

I hate to take you for an idiot but does the screen display the lightning icon or anything in the top left corner? If the lightning is in a circle it means its off.
