My computer won't boot. When I press the power button the CAPS locks and scroll locks flash for about a minute and the whole thing powers down. I tried reseating the RAM, swapping my RAM, powering up, running without the battery, running without AC adapter, removing the internal battery and putting it back in, and cleaning the RAM. Help me please.

It's probably the motherboard at that point. Especially if it doesn't give you RAM error beeps on start-up. The only other things I would attempt is to remove the hard drive and the optical drive individually and see if that works. If not then it's the motherboard.
Hope this helps and please rate.

Your motherboard is most likely broken. While you can replace this yourself, the easiest way to have it fixed is to bring it into a computer repair shop, or if you are still under warranty, just send it to dell and they will fix it for you.

My inspiron 1525 won't boot, the scroll light and caps lock blink

Remove 1 stick of ram and turn on, if no! take out the second one and put back the first, and power on, if okay you know the 1 stick is bad. Remove main battery and power on, "long shot" if no change chances are it is a motherboard issue.

check by removing the battery then put it back again power it on, or without battery power it on directly then check, if still the same problem, the fault is in the motherboard of the laptop, better take it the service center or consult some technician in your area

There are 9 states for LED error codes on this model. The error you're describing indicates that the laptop does not detect any RAM (memory sticks). Since you tried to isolate bad memory stick it looks like your motherboard has a problem and needs to be replaced.

Dell inspiron 1501 won't boot but caps lock flashes continuosly. when i remove memory it doesn't beep

Caps lock flashing indicates faulty memory - it's a POST (Power On Self Test) before BIOS executes. When memory is removed it should indicate "no memory". Carefully re-insert the RAM memory module, check the tiny contacts inside the connector on dust. Then try again.

If there are 2 memory banks (1 one the back, the other under keyboard) remove one RAM memory module.

If capslock keeps on flashing test it with another RAM module.

Dell Lattitude C840 Laptop

The 3 LED's (Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock) are used by Dell to diagnose no-post issues such as yours. The only error code close to yours is [Num Lock ON, Caps Lock FLASHING, Scroll Lock ON]. This indicates a a memory error. Try reseating the memory modules. If you have 2 memory modules, insert one at a time to determine the faulty module.
