Go to the option "Forgot your password" and then recover the password by giving the answer of the security question which you had entered at the time of signup at hotmail.

you have not really left much information ,but perhaps this will help if it was a hotmail account
if you have your original email address and passord then just add an account to windows live mail ,click accounts at the top ,then email to the left and add your old account,microsoft still have the folders and live mail will download them all
well file a request in the hotmail webpage ....so that they will send you the details of how to recover your hotmail mail id to the mail id what you have mentioned during your first time registration of your hotmail account......
