Re: Can't turn the unit on. Pushing the Standby-on does...
Open unit and look for fuse inside. If you have a multimeter check the fuse for continuity. If you do not have a multimeter then just replace the fuse or fuses with fuse of SAME SIME and Rating. This should fix your problem.

Two thing here.
#one the internal fuse has blown unlikely as the standby light is powered.
Two the power supply unit or switch is faulty.
get some one electrical component with the unit unpluged open the case and check any internal fuses have not blown.
Two check capacities on the power board these are large cylindrical shaped objects. These can dry out and or exploded if faulty relatively cheap to replace.
Second check the power switch actual powers the unit again someone with a multi meter and electrical compertent.
It is probably worth replacing either a capacity or switch anything else may prove false economy
I have replaced power board on other units but to be honest unless the unit was very expensive I would buy new
try some of the solutions on this link hope one will work for you.

Are you getting a standby light at all? Is it flashing? Do you here a click when you plug the unit in? If the answer is no to all of these then you blew a fuse. If you do have soome sort of standby light, then your set is in protect mode. More than likely for a blown channel. If no lights, but you ar egetting a click, you could have a bad transformer. Use a DVM and see if it is open or not. Good luck
Power up issues on the T220HD monitor are caused by a failure of the capacitors on the IP-49135b power supply board that this unit uses. The repair is easy, you just need to replace the 7 failed capacitors and the unit should be as good as new. Here is a link to some information showing what needs to be replaced to repair the power supply board.

hi
probebly the power button is bad
try pushing relly hard or be creative (hammer and such..)
or open the unit( unplug it first!!)
and try connecting manually the power line
if not the processer of the unit is dead and that is the reason way you got the unit in the first place....
good luck
