The buttons on the control panel of my Lexmark 2500 are not working. The printer is connected and I can scan from my computer, but I cannot print. I changed the ink cartridges, but as the lights on the control panel do not turn on I can not scan the page; therefore it does not allow me to print. Could you help me?

Please go through the following checklist:

  • Make sure the power cord is plugged in securely and directly to the power outlet. Power surge protectors can draw power away from the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and the back of the printer and then reconnect it.
  • Check the power supply box (if there is one) to see if it is warm or cold, as there could be a defective power supply issue.
  • If there is access to a voltmeter, test the power supply to ensure that it registering the correct amount of voltage (most Lexmark printers have a 30Volt output).
  • Make sure the correct power supply is connected to the printer.

Lexmark x5650 cannot retrieve application list

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

Do i need software like ocr so that the lexmark x6650 scanner can work

If you are scanning documents for editing or saving them as PDF, you will need to install the OCR scan software. The Lexmark OCR scan software is available only on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center to request for one.
If your scanner was working before, it could be just a slight communication problem. A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. Scan button is not working

Try to rebrick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds. That will give enough time for your printer to reset. When the printer turns on, try to scan again to verify that the scan button is working.

If you are getting a "communication not available" error or any message to that effect, try to do the steps below to fix the problem:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.
2. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

I cannot use the scan function on my X5470--specifically, to scan documents into PDF format. "Cannot retrieve Application List" is the messge shown. How do I repair this function?

Lexmark x2600m printer not queueing

The best Solution for this would be goto Start click on Run type in Services.MSC and click ok now on that window u will see an option saying print Spooler just restart that by right clicking on it......
now go to control panel and go to the Printers Folder......
Right click on the Printer Icon and click on Properties......
Now click on Advanced and then go to Print Processor.......
It will be by default on Lexmark LEMF change it to Lexmark NTEMF 1.008......
Click on Apply click ok......
Restart your Computer and try to use it it should work......
