The r2 d2 stucks and buy it today! Not move the wheels or just start to move backwards hitting everything. Stop taking orders and starts moving his head slowly making noises inside but without emitting the characteristic sounds of r2. I need help!!!

Can you take the vehicle out of park and put it into gear? If so, move the car a bit forward or backward and see if the steering unlocks. If so, it was probably parked in a manner that had the steering wheel stressed against a turn.

Hello, a week ago the small second hand (not long chrono second hand) got stucked and my irony swatch just stop moving. Although the chronometer could be running if started... The small hand just didn't move.
I tried different tricks, like removing battery, pull out main wheel and use chrono buttons to reset arms. Etc.
Today I noticed that when turning the wheel backwards a couple of times (one or two hours back) the little hand moved one second back... Pushing wheel back to On possition made the small hand move forward one second and get stucked again.
Then I did this procedure a couple of times, at some point I turned the wheel back for a while (may be 5 full turns) and noticed the small hand moved more than one second (5, 10, 15 seconds backward)... when I noticed it was moving freely I pushed wheel to on position and noticed the small second hand was running normal.. I hope it works for some of you. Greettings from Canada

On the front of the droid there is a red button that lights up when turned on & turns off after a couple of seconds, depress that button to free up the droid. Its called the wheel lock control button. That should free up your R2

Your Relay may be out

1. Insert your installation disc for the R2-D2 Wireless Webcam (dont start it up or anything just insert it into your computer)2. Click "Home Button" on desktop
3. In the search bar type "compatibility" and click on "Run programs made for previous versions of windows"
4. Click Next and wait until it is done scanning.
5. Then select "not listed" (it is on the top) and click next.
6. Click "Browse" and click on "Computer" then under "Devices with Removable Storage" double-click the "R2-D2_0105" (it is easy to spot due to the R2-D2 next to the name).
7. Then click once on "R2D2MENU" and click "Open" (its next to cancel), then click "Next".
8. After it scans for a few seconds, double-click "Try recommended settings"and click "Start the program..." (when the permission pop-up appears click: Allow or yes. whichever one grants it access.) then once the menu is open click on "install Viewer/Driver and install everything.
9. when you are done, click "EXIT" and in the "Program Compatibility" window click "Next". Then click "Yes, save these setting for this program" and you are all done and it should work!

hi, if the car has been sitting all this time with the parking brake on then the chances are your brakes are siezed on, now the parking brake locks the back wheels so this is where you should start looking for problems.

now the front wheels should be ok you can try them by jacking each wheel up and try spinning them by hand the front will be stiff but should turn with a bit of force.

how ever you could also jack the back wheels up to check they are solid if they are then you have two options the first would be to give the back wheels a few hits with a big hammer, you will need to hit them pretty hard and doing this should free the brakes enough for you to get the car moving. do this to both sides and you should find you can then use the car.

if after doing this they are still **** then your going to need to take the back wheels off and get a big hammer and keep hitting the back drum till the brakes free up, you wont be able to get to the brakes until they have freed up a bit as the brakes will be holding the drum onto the hub so you need to get them freed up first.

if you try forcing the car to much you can damage the drum at the back beyond repair so be warned.

hitting the middle of the back wheels with a sledge hammer will usually free the wheels up allowing you to move the car once it has started to move the brakes should free up over use.

your brakes wont be much good to start of with as they will be badly corroded so bare this in mind when driving.

you may need to hit the center of the wheels a few times then try moving forwards and backwards then you may need to hit the center of the wheel again, it may take a while but it will free up if you keep going.

There could be something blocking the drive gears to the treaded wheels making making the robot go backwards.

Could be 2 things:
Either the 3rd digit of the number wheel is sticking or the solenoid for the 3rd digit is dirty, stuck or bad.
You can take the cover for the paper and see if the wheels are turning. Enter all 8888888888's and keep hitting +, this will make all of the wheels turn. If the 3rd digit isnt moving, then you can try to take a very small drop of light weight machine oil on a small flat tip screwdriver, and place a drop on both sides of the wheel that is sticking.
Enter all 8888888888's again, and keep hitting the + and see if it gets any better or starts to move.
If the wheel doesnt turn at all, then the solenoid might be stuck and it will be a lot harder to reach to service it.
