Olympus D-370 picture transferring help

I'm trying to transfer my pictures from my Olympus D-370 onto my computer, but when I attach the USB cord from it into the port, nothing happens. What do I need to install, what do I need to do or where do I need to go to get the pictures onto my computer?

Have you tried another USB cord? If your camera had software, you might want to do that over again.

Have "olympus sp 800uz" and
1. Put the SD card into the computers cardreader.
2. Connect the camera through USB with the computer .
3. Copy the pictures.

If you have trouble with the SD card:
1. Copy all the pictures to the computer.
2. Format the sd card in the camera.
3. Copy the pictures back onto the sd card.

My olympus fe-45 won't download pictures through the usb cord. It takes pictures fine, but when I plug it into the computer, the camera screen says 'one moment' and it stays like that, and the computer...
This is not a full solution, but you might try another USB cord or a new USB 'hub' or simply another version of photo transfer. I have had good results with SanDisk's 5 in 1 ImageMate card reader and accompanying software. Used Targus but it stopped working. Went back to SanDisk. USB is wonderful but there are so many access points for things to go wrong, including the jacks in your computer. Have just fought this through with a set of headphones which had worked great for over a year and then stopped. Fixed with a new 'mini-hub' and plug-in audio controller which replaces my sound card. Now can use USB connections on front of CPU and webcam finally works as well as headphones (much better music) and photo transfer. $25 well spent. Can return new headphones I ordered.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program, such as Picasa.

Problem transferring photos from my digital camera to my PC
Be sure that you plug original Olympus USB cable directly into USB port on mother board (ussualy on the back side of PC) not on the front pannel hub and not into extention USB cable.

some comp seem to have problems reading from the olympus cameras. if you have a card reader take the card out and put into that. if not you can get one cheap and they simple to use

When you connect the usb to the pc.....the phone should be asking if to do "transfer pictures".

select transfer pictures and a folder will be on you pc....select that
