My camera after a few sec/mins will begin to zoom in on it's own! I have checked the settings, etc... I can't figure out why all of a sudden it's doing this. It will zoom then pull back to normal ... any ideas?? I have ran a virusscan so i know that's not the case!

I believe you have face tracking enabled. Go into PC Cam Center and go to the Live video section. In here there is a source button, click on it. On the video tab you should see an option for Face Tracking, turn it off and this zooming will stop.

Turn on digital zoom

Turn the zoom lever toward the single-tree symbol and hold it until it zooms all the way. Release the lever then turn it toward the single-tree symbol again to engage the digital zoom.

Full details are in the "Zooming in More Closely on Subjects (Digital Zoom)" section beginning on page 60 of the manual.

The battery is fully charged. When I turn my camera on, it zooms out, then zooms in, then zooms out, then zooms in, etc. After doing this for about a minute, it finally stops and the screen reads ''Turn...

Try a manual reset...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

The lens keeps trying to focus it zooms in and

Try jiggling the lens. Use compressed air to blow out any grit around the lens barrel. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to get the camera serviced.

Camer tuns on and off again

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive. First try removing the batteries and cleaning the camera contacts with a small metal brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. If that doesn't fix the problem, check the Kodak Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

Camera really messed up!

Have you tried taking out the batteries and leaving it alone for a bit, then loading new batteries? I would try this first before anything. Good Luck.

Zoom malfunction

I had exactly the same problem. You just need to smash once with your hand on the bottom of your camera (it looks that this works for all canon cameras).

the zoom control button is malfunctioning. try to clean the contact. check the resistant of the variable carbon. if it is not open, try to adjust the contact point away from the damaged area.

Blury pictures

it could be a few things like dust on your lens when you took an auto picture and it could have blown off from movement make sure your lens is clean, check your lens settings on the side if it is on the flower its for close up pictures and if its on the trees its for further away pictures so make sure its on the correct setting also pc cams only have digital zoom so if you zoom in it may appear to be blurry because it only zooms in on the picture which is made up of pixels as opposed to an optical lens which zooms in on the actual object so its not as blurry also check your menu settings mabey you messed something up, also remember to keep the camera still when taking pictures they are not that advanced. and if non of that works just use manual.
