Hi I am not sure if this can solve your problem, but for me I had trouble with my cd-rom and therefore couldn't get to use my installation cd, tried at first to see if the plug and play would find new hardware, and got the same as you.(Found hardware but nothing else). Anyway after transfering to another PC I was able to get the CD Files and convert them into a zip. So download these 2 files; 1 (http://www.4shared.com/file/62795767/eab01c80/Motorola_Phone_Tools_part1.html) & 2 http://www.4shared.com/file/62801586/73949205/Motorola_Phone_Tools_dll_files.html, and 1.Unzip/extract file 1 2.Unzip/extract file 2 (dll) 3.Add all the files in file 2 to file 1. Without adding it in a seperate folder.(see screenshot) Once you've got them all, use the data connection/USB CONNECTION (as it will say on the screen of your mobile). Plug in your USB Cable, should automatically get new hardware found or try using the mphonetools (says you gotta register, but pass that if you want). You should then get a K1 model phone on your desktop. (dublicate-cyper version of your own cellphone). The rest I'm sure you can figure it out ;) Best of luck to you and others with the same problem. (If it works please rate fairly) :D Screenshot of file folder Motorola MOTOKRZR K1 USB cable problem - 930ab1a.png

My PC cannot recognize my motorola K1 phone even though i use

Go to the following website:
http://motoroladownloads.webs.com

Sign up to enter the site. (It's as easy as 1-2-3)

As a member, you can then download the Motorola Phone Tools (PC Suite) for your PC for free.

**Make sure you download the USB Drivers, too.

The download for the PC Suite is in .zip format. You'll need to unzip it to a new folder. (You can create a new folder on your desktop)

After unzipping the file to the new folder, double click on it to open > locate the >>
Setup884ac5e.jpg icon and double click on it.

This will install Motorola Phone Tools (PC Suite) on your PC.

Start the Phone Tools Program by double clicking on the icon on your desktop.

Download the Data Cable/Modem drivers and attach your phone to your PC with a USB data cable.
(You may also be able to use Bluetooth)

Your PC will then recognize your phone.

How can I charge the battery by internet

Hi! Just make sure that you had installed the latest usb drivers on you computer and plug your data cable and phone in. If it`s not charging, that means the phone is not designed to do that. Not all the models can charge by usb cable.

Motorola k1 is not transfering files with my pc

I found the solution, See by default when you plug in your phone.
Under the Settings/Connection/USB Settings, It is set to Data Connection, All you have to do is go Change, and select memory card. The computer then reads it as a mass storage device. Problem Sol-ved. =]
