Samsung LN-T4071F 40 in. LCD HDTV Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jul 27, 2011

My TV will flicker at times and go completly black for a period. I unplugged everything and let it sit for about 12 hours and the TV worked fine the next day. The following day the TV again flickered and went dark. I have also had an issue with the screen having a green tint when I first turn on my TV but eventually the full picture would come in. Any advice?

The screen flicker than go blank, does it still have power to the tv set?Yes,than this cause only can be causes by only 2 boards in the tv can causes this problems,if tv power still stable for the set.The T-CON board it shorting out and dying for this problems to happen or worst case causes the Main board tv Tuner signal board it dying. The T-CON board the priced it is cheaper and could cause this problems too.Tries change this T-CON board first, see what happen. This board T-CON board sit at the bottom in the middle of the LCD screen panel to decodes pictures pixel before it go onto the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON board for the replacement.

My Vizio m55-d0 TV keeps flickering between completely red, blue, white, black and green screens.

Try to turn the TV off and on by removing the power plug. Leave the plug out for at least one hour and then try again.

I have a 32" RCA LCD tv , rlc3210 power input says

Is it hooked up with HDMI cable?

If so try unplugging the HDMI cable and re plugging the cable in, sometimes those cables work loose and if they are not tight, it will cause your screen to flicker. Happens to my TV once in awhile.

Desktop computer monitor goes black but works on other computers

It sounds like the resolution is set wrong. Go to the minimum and see if that solves the problem. If so keep working up.

I have a Vizio VF550XVT1A. First problem was a flickering screen that ended with the TV turning off. I replaced both invertor boards and the TV seemed to work fine for a few weeks. Now the TV works fine...

Good day sir Alfred!!!!

If your screen turns to back after a minutes but the sounds is normal..That problem is very common to all flat panel specially to LCD TV..

OK,I need to know first if your TV having a back-light when the picture went out after a minutes. If that so the possible problem is T-CON board (this board is the responsible to produce a video on all LCD TV)..

If you don't have back-light the problem is inverter board again..But before you order or install new inverter board try to find why the inverter board gone only on few weeks after you install it..the possible problem why the inverter board faulty for the short period of time is higher/lower input voltages (24vdc) comes from power supply..try to check it using volt meter or multimeter tester..it should be read 24vdc on meter..let me know if the voltage drop or higher to 24..

If the 24vdc is fine the only problem is the condition of inverter board maybe its used or partially faulty when you buy it..

if you have more queries and clarification regarding my solution please feel free to reply on this tread...

Hope it helps..

Thanks for using fixya..

Black vertical line on screen periodically- but most of the time

hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up .good luck hope it works
