Most LCD monitors have a default refresh rate of 60 Hz. Older monitors also have limited resolution. Please check your display settings and ensure you're not using a refresh rate higher than 60, or a resolution higher than what it supports. If either one is the case, you're lucky the LCD still works.
i think the LCD has been set to a very high brightness set the LCD brihtnes lower from the settings..
better more is to reset the camera to the default settings this would set the aperture, shutter, Exposure, LCD brightness and other settings to defaults and this would save from any unwanted changes than required
I would try changing the memorised info that you put into your My1 settings and see if that helps. I just got my V700 today and the first thing I did was put my preferences into My1. I don't really know why your camera is transferring this to your video setting but try removing your presettings in My1.
I have a perfect LCD s800 screen .Camera lens is broken . Dawdle to change if you have a wee star screwdriver..take out the casing screws ..back comes off ..another 4 screws takes the screen out. then the fiddly bit is the ribbon connector..screws back in and fixed . let me know if you want to do a wee deal. you are havin a serious problem. your problem shows that there is no problem with its LCD screen itself but it is problem related with CCD sensor. Camera needs CCD replacement compulsaryly. So that no one can help you. It is advisable to go to Canon shop.
thank you and good luck...
