The Power Strip may just be the problem. As far as I know, there are no manufacturers that approve the use of a Power Strip, for their AC unit to be plugged into. I know of two units, that had their electronics fried, while being plugged into a power strip. Which brings us, to the point, that your AC may already being showing the results of being plugged into a power strip. Most don't encourage an plain extension cord

Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet and try lowering the temperature by 3 to 5 degrees F, to see if it will run longer. Also, check your air intake filter and clean it, if necessary.

If the icontinues to turn OFF prematurely, it may be time to decide whether to repair or replace.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

It keeps shutting itself off ?

When does it shut itself off? Is this happening time you press the power button and during the boot cycle it shuts off without completing the boot to windows? If it shuts down after you've worked on it for a while it could be that it is running hot. If you let it sit a while to cool off then press the power button, if it completes the boot cycle and allows you to work it is definitely running hot. Normally when they run hot if you immediately try to reboot, it will fail. If you let it cool off it will boot successfully. Computers run hot because of a fan not working, dust clogging the fan vents or the Thermal Paste around the CPU and Heat Sink has become hard or too thin to keep the unit cool. If it's not running hot you might have a power supply or motherboard issue. Try removing the power cord and press and hold the Power Button for 30 seconds to release any Static Buildup. Then plug the power cord back in and try to reboot.

Good afternoon, I search a french instructions for Micro Pets tomy "Gork " Serie 2 U.S . I have forget my instructions list :/ Please help me. Thank you

If you have a brand-new MicroPet, remove the"Try Me" plastic strip before using the pet.Turn the MicroPet over and locate the plastic strip protruding from the batterycover; pull the strip straight out.
    • 2
Change the batteriesif the power is running low -- the included batteries are used for testing andmay not be fully charged. Turn the MicroPet over and use a Phillips-headscrewdriver to remove the screw at the top of the battery cover. Slide thebattery cover out and remove the old batteries. Insert two LR44 batteries, making sure to match the polarity as instructed. Replace the battery cover andtighten the screw with the screwdriver.
    • 3
Wake up your MicroPet by pressing the button onits head; it will perform an action to let you know it is awake. Say a phraseto your MicroPet, then wait for its nose or tie to light up. Now say a secondphrase and the MicroPet will follow your command. For example, say,"Robo," then wait for the pet's nose to light up, then say,"Run," and the MicroPet will run.
    • 4
MicroPets display two "moods,""happy" and "bad," depending on the commands it receives. If you repeat the same command over and over, your MicroPet will display a"bad" mood. It will then refuse to listen to your commands and willnot respond to you. Praise yourpetto cheer it up and make it happy. For example, say, "Good job," toyour MicroPet.
    • 5
Press the button on top of the pet's head while itis performing a command to reset the MicroPet.
    • 6
Hold down the button on the top of your MicroPet'shead for three seconds to make it go to sleep; it will sing a goodbye songbefore shutting down.
    • 7
Make your MicroPet sing one of three songs byclapping your hands. Clap three times for "It's a Small World," fourtimes for "Ten Little Indians" and five times for "ElectricalParade." Make sure to wait for the pet's nose to light up between eachclap. Place multiple MicroPets together and they will sing in unison.
    • 8
To program your MicroPet, turn the MicroPet off, then press the button on top of its head six times --- the pet will light up,then make three small beeping noises. Wait one second and the pet will light up--- press the pet's head button now if you want to program the "GoForward" command. To program the "Turn Right" command, wait forthe pet to light up twice, then press the head button. To program the"Turn Left" command, wait for the pet to light up three times, thenpress the head button. When you hear three beeping sounds, the MicroPet isfinished programming and will perform the commands. You can program up to fivecommands in a row. When in program mode, your pet will not respond to your voicecommands or sing songs. To go back to the normal command mode, simply turn theMicroPet off then back on.
