Clean both safety sensors lens located at the bottom of the garage door frame. Make sure both sensors led lights are lit. If not they are out of alignment and you will have to loosen the wing nut on the sensor that is lit and move it, trying to get the other sensor to light.

I have a liftmaster formula 1 1280R opener that works fine from the wall mount but all of a sudden both remotes and the built-in remote in my car stopped working. It is not the batteries in the remotes. ...

The motor/control unit may have gotten reset. It needs to relearn the codes transmitted by the remotes.

MIne has a "learn" button on the control unit. Press and hold, then press the button on the remote. Lights will flash indicating it has received and stored the code. Release button.

Check to see if the remote works now. If so, all three should be working. If not, dig up your manuals.

If the main light flashes 10 times when the door reverses to the open position it is a door sensor problem. Make sure the sensors are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a bit. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have bad sensors.

Okay, I'm having an issue with my Sears Craftsman garage door opener. Not exactly sure of the model number, but can dig it up if that's necessary. Symptoms: 1) Door opens fine from either wall button or...

It sounds like you have a problem with your wall button. I would remove the button from the wall and then disconnect the 2 wires on the back. Remember where they go as they are color coded. You can then momentarily touch the two wires together to check the operation. There isn't enough voltage there to bother you.

One thing to remember. If when the door reverses the main light flashes 10 times it is a door sensor problem and nothing else.

I have 2 liftmaster 3245. The hand held remotes were working fine then stopped. I replaced the batteries and turned of all electrical/RIF close by. Still not working. Both cars operate the doors with no...

You need to reprogram the remotes by briefly pushing the learn button on the garage door opener until it flashes once, then release the button on the garage door opener.

Now press the remote button once until you hear the garage door opener click, now press the remote button once again and the remote should be programmed to work for that garage door opener.

DO NOT press and hold the garage door opener learn button for more than 10 seconds or you'll erase all programs and have to relearn all the remotes, including your car ones.

Hope you found this very helpful and best regards.

Setting garage door opener

Most openers are programmed the same. You normally program the house garage opener to accept the new remote. Your garage opener will have a button to press to add in a new remote. Normally you press this and then press the remote in the car and hold until your lights on your opener flash or the garage door closes. (check your manual on your garage door opener)
