Most likely the issue is one of the buttons on the TV is stuck. You should be able to verify this with the TV unplugged and then see if all the buttons seem like they have some play to them. When the buttons are pressed you should hear a little click noise. If you find one that doesn't well then there is your stuck button. You would then have to remove the swich from inside the TV by removing the back to disable that function. I hope that helps : )

Bush lcd42f1080p100hz remote will not turn tv on

I had come home about a week ago and pushed the power button from my remote but my tv did not respond. So I just went to the front panel and pushed power but once the tv turned on, the volume was on full blast! I used the front panel volume decrease to get the volume down, but when I stopped pushing the button, the tv increased its volume to full blast again by itself! Naturally I just turned the tv off for a few moments. I tried the remote again, no response again, so I used the panel power button. The tv volume was still full blast when it turned on but after I decreased the volume it stayed this time. The picture is and has been perfectly fine and the tv was working fine. The next day the problem started all over and now once we turned it off from frustration of having to manually use the panel to change channels, it now will not turn on at all. I have changed batteries from my remote, reprogrammed my remote, pushed system reset several times, unplugged it for a while, bought a new surge charge, and even held the menu and device panel buttons for 10 sec and tried to turn the t.v. on again! What other options do I have or what may be the issue at hand and possible parts that may need to be replaced?? Thanks!!

Toshiba (model 19av500U) volume goes up and down automatically

It may be the remote itself and not the tv, have you tried purchasing an inexpensive universal remote?

I cant turn down my sound when i do it automatically goes to full blast it is making me very angry

Not enough information. Is it a software problem or a hardware problem? If it is a software problem the solution is simple. Don't try to adjust the volume inside windows. Just use the volume knob of your speakers to do that.

Can't turn volume down!

Go into your sound devices from the control panel. You should be able to raise & lower the volume from there as well as putting the volume icon back into your system tray. Hope this helps.

When i turn my car on my cd player is full blast i cant find where to fix it

I want to know if you still can volume it down. If don't then your volume button sw for down was damaged.If still can, your cd player's memory is not functioning. Check the wiring of batt. memory back-up wire from the player, this must be connected to unswitch power supply. ( the power supply is always "ON")

We have a Denon AVR 1905/785 We cannot turn the volume down.... it is at -70 and full blast... the volume turns up and gets even louder.... but can't turn the surround sound down... help

if the volume control as been forced the conection in the switch as jammed +vol .this is usually a small preset under the knob the right hand one.pull the knob off pulling straight as not to bend spindle some time's the two presets are visable.a cotton bud dipped in spirits could solve your problem but some times you need to pull the top of the preset .it might need removing and replacing . this could be a more complicated problem caused by a variety of things here are a few,dry joints,cracked pannel .hope some of this helped . if in dire straits skype me farr64

Good Day;

The TV's front panel may be bad, manual buttons. TEMPT FIX; remove speaker, cloth covered, cover, disconnect cables. TV will work but only with remote.
