I have recently changed my email from Thunderbird to MS Outlook. (I know, that's the wrong direction...) As a result of the previous HotSync, the contacts database on the Treo is duplicated. I edited out the extraneous contacts in the Outlook, and now I want Outlook to overwrite the Treo. I tried the HotSync feature "Computer Overwrites HandHeld" but that did not eliminate the dupes. I am afraid that the next sync will re-pollute my Outlook Contacts. Can I purge the contacts from the Treo in one action and drop the contacts in from Outlook?

Best would be to perform a hard reset. This will delete all your contacts, but also all your other data on your phone as well such as mail, sms, call log, settings etc.
