Hello, I am the owner of a Teac DVD Receiver DLR 700 and associated 3 channel amp A-L-700P. I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to play mp3 cd's on the appliance. I use it for music and radio only. Can you please give me a step by step guide as to how I can play my mp3 cd's which I have converted on itunes to play on the unit. I am using TDK CD-R80 recordable discs to play on the unit. Many thanks Denis Benson

I know that this sounds obcious but you need to connect the audio leads (L and R) from the player to the amp as well as the control connecter before you connect the speaker cables from the amp. Otherwise just connect the speakers direct to the player.

SOURCE: Teac GF-350 CD Shelf System

Firstly double check that the recordable discs you have bear the label "Digital Audio" on them as per the attached picture. Secondly what happens when you go through the finialise procedure in the manual? Do you see the ?FIn--d? display when you select the finialise button? Do you see ?NO TOC? and ?REC? indicators blinking at the next step? Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

SOURCE: When playing a DVD, picture & audio stop for a second one a while, no problem when playing a CD

this may just be the mechanism changing diretion as it reads the second layer on the disc usually because the film is too long to go on one side of the dvd disc.
quite normal.
but if happening quite a lot during playing a film then it could be something as simple as cleaning the mechanism. NOT for the untrained

SOURCE: My teac dvd/cd player wont play some cds

Probably a codec problem on the notebook. rather than a drive problem. Try a 3rd party media player such as Real Player or Quicktime

We dont have the manual for our TEAK AGV 1200 RECEIVER AND I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY WATTS IT HAS? Any way I can find out with the manual?

You have to type alpha-numeric gibberish verbatim or there will be no good information coming back.

If you mean TEAC AG-V1200 then just google it.

Here's a manual for $10 http://www.teac.owner-manuals.com/AGV1200-owners-manual-TEAC.html

It probably has the specs.

This seller claims 110 watts per channel all around, which sounds supsiciously generous. Rear channels don't need that kind of horsepower.

I have background sound on my TEAC HTX1800 DVD player, but I can't hear the people talking. Please help?! Regards /Hester

Chances are you are playing movies coded for Dolby Digital Surround. Depending on what kind of receiver your DVD player is plugged into, the receiver may not have the Center channel operating or turned up. Most all dialog comes from the center channel of a surround sound system. The receiver usually has a separate output for a center channel speaker, and a separate volume control as well. This will adjust the dialog volume up.
If you are not using a receiver, or plugged directly into the TV, check the audio settings on the TV. They may not be set up for the surround, hence why you are missing the dialog. Good Luck

My TEAC AG-V7700 has A and B channels. I am trying to play A and B channels simultaneously but it seems I can play only one or the other. I thought all A-B channel receivers also permited A+B... I...

The TEAC AG-V7700 does not appear to have the capability to play A and B channels simultaneously as it only has the option to select one or the other. This means that it is not possible to combine the A and B channels to create an A+B channel. You can refer to the user manual to confirm this information or contact TEAC customer support for further assistance.

Playing a dvd...getting music and background sound, but no voices...help!

Go into the receivers "main menu" check your "center channel settings" if you don't have a center channel, make sure it's set to "off or no" If you have one, make sure it's on. If you still have an issue, post a comment and I will help you troubleshoot further. Hope this helps.

Audio won't play on DVD - but it will play for CDs

Hello, you can verify that your receiver is working or not. When you are playing a dvd unplug the audio RCA plugs (red and white) from the back of the Sony dvd player. Touch the tips of each of the RCA plugs with your fingertip. You will hear a buzz sound coming from the speaker associated with the plug if the receiver is working\ i.e. touch the red RCA plug tip and the right speaker will hum...touch the white tip and the left speaker will hum or buzz. This will not hurt your system or speaker. If you do not hear the hum turn the volume to 3 or so and wet your fingertip and tap the tip of the RCA connectors. You will hear "pops" coming from the respected channel. I believe your cd\dvd is at fault. Good Luck!
