Press the DIGITAL EFFECTS and select D.EFFECT from the Digital Effects menu. If needed, you can find a copy of the User Manual on the Canon website: Canon Support Drivers ZR40
The best solution is to send the product back to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. If you have a receipt for the product and its within the warranty period (1 year) they will do this free of charge. I can help you with the process. Muzu
Hello friend,
The Canon ZR40 Mini DV Camcorder has the port "Firewire" so you can copy your tapes to a computer. you will need to check your computer if it has also a firewire socket (All the new laptops have it).
You don't need any drive software, Windows has all the necessary drivers built in. You can use Windows Movie Maker for the capture, but if you want to burn your finished movies onto DVD then look at something like Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 which is one stop shop application (Capture, edit and burn). you can download a 30 days trial and try it out and see if it's what you want before buying it.
Best Regards,
