I have an enV 2, about 2-3 years old.I dropped my phone in the toilet, for 3 seconds, dried it with a towel, let it sit for 5 mins, put it in front of a fan for about 7 mins, and put it in rice for 30 mins. But just like before I tried the rice trick, my phone STILL says "Use genuine battery- power off" (and then counts down to 1). However, it doesn't do it on the front screen, only the inside screen. I don't know wether to buy a new battery, buy a new phone, or try another trick...HELP! I need solutions. Tricks. Anything to save it!

Yo! the drying system you used is not enough to dry it. you need to open it up to the best you can and dry under the sun for hours or under **** heat. that should do. thanks

My huawei y-3 fell in water then i tried to put it in rice for 2 days but it doesn't work so what should i do

t has been suggested that anywhere from 38-75 % of people use their phones on the toilet (don't forget to disinfect your phones people)! So, it is not surprising then that studies suggest that 19% of phones get dropped down the toilet each year. Here's what to do if it happens to you:
- Turn your phone off (if it isn't already off).
- Dry it as much as possible with a towel.
- Remove the battery (if possible).
- Bury your wet phone in a container of rice and place it in the sunlight (may take a few days).
If your phone isn't working once you've fully dried out your phone, you may need to get your data extracted.

My samsung impression dropped in water and touch screen broke

I also dropped my Samsung Impression in the toilet, I immediately took the phone took the protective case off, took the battery cover off, and took the battery and my SIM card out and towel dried it as best as I could. Then I sat it on the floor next to my fan and let it dry until I got to my grandparents a little while later and I put it in a bowl of rice, completely covered the phone and battery with rice and left it sit overnight in the rice and all of the next day, so far i've had it on about 20 minutes and have had no problems with it so far, another solution is to sit it in the sun, to further dry it out. Water damage will void warranties on your phone and battery and your provider will know instantly if the damage was water related when they take your battery cover off, there is a small square sticker that when dry and hasn't touched water should be white, but as soon as it comes into contact with water it turns red, there is also one of these stickers on the battery. My stickers were red and after sitting in the rice they look like they got lighter in color considerably, I don't know if that is really possible but appearance wise it looks that way. I hope this helps anyone who has had this problem. Good Luck!

Dropped it in water

Take out the battery, then get a bag of rice out the phone in a bowl cover it evenly with rice and use patents you will need to let this sit for 3 to 4 days now its not a 100 percent garentted method but it works for most phones good luck and leave positive feedback for your free answer today.

Cellphone was dropped accidentaly in a tub full of water

Yikes, try the old standby- remove the battery, sim card, memory card, and get out a hair dryer. Set it on low and carefully blow warm air into every nook and cranny of the phone for about 5 mins. Then blowit on everything else as well- attery, sim. memory card. Placed everything on a towel for 48 hours or so, pray a lot, and 2 days later put everything back together. Change up the battery to the max, before you turn it on for the first time, and pray one more time. If you're lucky everything should have dried out nicely, and the phone will work. Do not under any circumstances try to turn on the phone unless it is thoroughly dried out, because water and electricity just don't mix.

My phone fell in the toilet idk what to do!!

I am not sure if this will help but here goes anyway. I assume you immediately removed the phone from the toilet when it fell in. Here is what I did in a similar circumstance. My wife once dropped her car keys and remote in the toilet while she was at work. Once she got home, I opened the unit up and using a hair dryer carefully dried off the printed circuit board. I then replaced the battery. The remote is still working today. Good luck! Whether this works out for you or not you should tell your Mom about it. Accidents do happen - my guess is she will understand.

I dropped my sidekick 2008 in the toilet

really the only thing to do in this case is to let it dry COMPLETELY before putting any power to it. if you let it dry completely now it may still work but if you tried it already and it failed i doubt it. try a new battery if it wont turn on. i dropped my nokia in the toilet and let it dry for 3 days then it worked; had a buddy spill his bottle of beer on my blackberry and after the defrost and over night it worked fine.... good luck
