We have the 27 inch 1080p (Model HSG 1075). We are with Suddenlink as our service provider who recently went to digital programming. However, we are now having problems with the channels display, which come in with a "-1" following the channel numbers for the digital stations, which makes our VCR useless (does not see the -1). Our provider says that it is the TV that is adding the dash number. Also, the the dialog box in the upper left hand corner of the screen that shows the channel, etc. will not go off on it's own. It just stays there until I hit another button such as INFO or Return. It really annoying for a TV that presents such a nice picture. I cannot find a means of limiting the time this dialog box is displayed. Please help.

Hi - My name is Tina and I am with Suddenlink. Are you receiving your channels over the air (without a cable box)? If so, that is the way they are broadcast over the air in digital/high definition from the broadcasters and without converting them (with a cable box) there isn't anything that can be done to fix this issue. If you add a cable box to your set, then the box can convert the channels without the dashes. Plase feel free to contact me directly at tina-AT-suddenlink-DOT-com for further assistance. Thank you.

Does sudden link offer tv land CHANNEL?

Hello, Venita -

Apparently, Suddenlink does offer TV Land.

I do not reside in a location serviced by Suddenlink, so I cannot check for the TV Land information on the Suddenlink website:
https://www.suddenlink.com/

See the Suddenlink mobile service information:
http://mobile.suddenlink2go.com/networks/110727863

Fixya.com, where you posted your question, has no affiliation with Suddenlink or any television service provider, anywhere. It is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING THINGS. I chose to answer your question as a kindness.

Best wishes.

Is my apex tv AT2702 high def??

According to apex its not and does not have a digital tuner the only way this can be high def would be 720P meaning 720 lines progressive scan.

Your aspec Ratio is 4:3 this indeed is a standard TV without a digital tuner so you will need a digital setop box or a digital tuner.

High DEF is not considered digital its conidered how many lines are displayed on the TV. For example 720p, 1080p .
