I have Panasonic HD video camera HDC-SD600 with a class 10 16GB SDHC card. I used to put the card in to my BlueRay player for thumb nails and instant playback. Now the card is not showing or playing recorded material when put in to the Blue Ray although recorded material is on the card and I am able to transfer it to my PC / DVD. I have tried the card in other TVs and 'no recorded material' still comes up on the screen suggesting the problem is the card or the camera. I have formatted the card using the camera after i have transferred the footage to my PC and have not made any other adjustments.

The files on the card may not be the correct format for the Blu-Ray player to read - look in the player's manual for the supported formats.

I have a Panasonic HDC-SD5 camera and it doesn't work on I-Mac. The Mac can't read the files. What should I do to work with it on I movie ? Is there any driver for the mac ?

HDC-SD5 + iMac = perfect compatibility
I have an iMac (early 2011).-I remove the SDHC card from the camera-plug the card directly into the iMac SD slot (Below the CD/DVD slot) -wait 5 seconds till iMovie or Final Cut X download high-quality HD video.
I was digitizing video on a Mac IIx back in the late 1980's, a long, tiresome error-ridden process that only just worked. The tools we have today are brilliant.Anybody wanting to do serious or hobby video on a computer needs one of Steve Jobs' babies. No downloads of drivers, no conversions, no installation.Just plug 'n play.
Hope this helps

Scandisk sdhc card 4gb not working in my Canon SD600, is there a format that will allow me to use this card?

The SD600 is designed to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the camera, they will not work. You'll have to stay with SD cards 2GB and smaller.

I have a cannon power shot SD600. I bought a memory card, and the camera says memory card error. I can't even fomat the card because the function won't high light.

Did you get an SDHC card? The SDHC protocol was developed after the SD600 came out, and the SD600 is not compatible with it. Use SD cards with a maximum of 2GB storage capacity.

SDHC Memory Card

Class 6 and 10 cards are high speed cards suitable for videos....they write fast and don't get hung up. With that said, I use a Sandisk class 2 and a class 4 and have never had a problem with either one.

Will my Canon SD600 suport a SDHL flash memory card?

I assume you mean SDHC.

The SD600 was designed to use SD cards. The SDHC specification is backward compatible, meaning that SD cards will work in SDHC devices, SDHC cards will not work in SD devices. This is a hardware incompatibility, not updatable in firmware.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

I can not download form HDC-SD20 use by HD writer

I have same problem. I have Panasonic HDC-TM20 video camera. It came with HDWriter ae 1.0 software. I have ACER alptop, running XP. Everything was running fine for months, but now I cannot transfer from the video camera to the hard disk on my computer. It attempts to do it, but then it just does nothing for ages. CPU usage shoots up high. When I kill the application, it does die, but process continues so I need to re-boot mt laptop before I can load it again. Is these any one out there who has resolved this issue?

Upload footage off video camera to laptop

The simplest way to save the video to your laptop (note that you won't be able to view it from there) is to buy a cheap USB card-reader that handles SDHC cards - about US$10 - and simply pop the card out of the camera into the reader. You'll see the card and all files as a new drive. You can also play the video from the card in the card reader.
