You don't say the brand of washer. Check top of machine for a reset button if none check around or on top of motor for a reset button. Press button and it should go. Regards Billy

Makita table saw wont turn on

A failed power supply, broken on/off switch, bad motor overload, broken power cord or failed drive motor can prevent the table saw motor from starting. First, try resetting the overload. If the table saw motor won't start after resetting the overload, then the saw may not be getting power from the electrical outlet.

How do you reset the overload switch

An electric motor used in lots of equipment may include overload reset button on the motor body. If the motor is overloaded or if it overheats, this button will pop "out" indicating that an internal electric safety device has tripped, shutting the motor off.
Once the motor has cooled sufficiently it can be re-started, usually by pushing the popped-out reset switch back down.

QRS 25 air compressor will not start unless I push the reset button need to know where the reset button is

How do you know it will run if you reset the reset button? You could have a problem with the coil of the starter, pressure switch not closing and/ or overload issues. The reset is usually on the overload block. To check the coil you need a volt meter where you can measure in ohms or resistance. Remove both wires on the coil with power off !!!!!! and measure across those two terminals. If it is showing open then you have a bad coil. To check the pressure switch to the same thing across the motor and line terminal. If open with 0 psi in tank then pressure switch is bad. Last thing to check is overload block, there are normally a 95 and 96 terminal. Check for continuity across those two terminals (while power is off !!!!!). If open and the reset button is pushed then the overload block is defective.

I have a whirlpool azb 9750 and seems to have no pore but the fuse in the plug an the socket power is all ok, is there an internal fuse or thermal reset within the dryer

There are some overload/temperature switches within the dryer. Most reset when the overload/temp gone. You could open up the back and follow the wires to the overload switches and check with an electrical tester to see if you have power passing through each. The wiring diagram should be inside the dryer, and show each switch.

How to reset compressor

Generally, compressor motors include a thermal overload switch that can be reset (after cooling off) by pressing the button (usually red-colored) on the motor. Sometimes, one has to press fairly hard to reset the overload. A quite noticeable click will be felt.

Makita router overload reset

there is no overload reset. You have another problem, I am thinking the switch or cord. You can unplug and if you have a volt ohms meter start at the plug of the cord and work thru till problem is found. Usually the switch gets dust into it not allowing it to make contact.

I am trying to find the thermal overlaod switch with no luck . Where is it exactly?

The motor has a manual reset thermal overload protector switch. If the motor overheats for any reason, the overload protector will shut off the motor. The motor must be allowed to cool down before resetting the overload switch and restarting. It is located on the motor housing on the side opposite where the pump and hose connections are. The reason this switch shuts off is because of low voltage problems caused by either a too low amp rating on the circuit it's plugged into or by using an extension cord. It is always safer and better for the motor to run longer air hoses than to use extension cords.

We have a 100 ton press electric motor an a hydraulic pump. You have to hold in on the reset to make motor run.

The overload switch may have failed. Does the motor stop if you let go of the reset? If the motor (single phase) has a capacitor start, the capacitor may have failed partially which will cause overload because the motor just sits and hums without turning. If this is a three-phase motor, the overload button should shut off the motor starter which directly removes power to the motor. Don't jury-rig a switch to bypass the problem. Hope this helps!

Wont blow out cold air anymore?

hi...
Every air conditioner has a motor called a compressor. The compressor provides the cooling capacity for the air conditioner. If the compressor or its electrical controls are defective the compressor may try to start, fail, and create an electrical overload. If the unit does create an overload, every compressor circuit is also equipped with an overload safety switch. The safety switch is designed to protect the compressor from burning out. The safety switch will cut the power to the compressor for a certain length of time and then reset itself. When it resets it will allow the electricity to flow to the compressor once again. If the compressor then starts, the unit should function normally. If the compressor doesn't start when the overload resets, the overload will again cut the electricity to the compressor. This cycle will continue indefinitely. (Always allow three to five minutes before restarting the compressor.) If this situation is occurring, unplug the air conditioner and get help from a qualified repair technician. This problem is often fatal to the air conditioner because the cost of repair often exceeds the price of a new air conditioner...

hope this will give u a clear idea..
