Yes - the software was included. Your CD software allows you to select synch with Palm Desktop or synch to Outlook. As long as Outlook is installed on the PC, the CD software installer will see Outlook and offer you this option. So the answer to your question is - reinstall the software and take the option to sync with Outlook when it is offered. PS just in case you have Outlook Express, this is not the same things as full Outlook. Outlook Express requires third-party software for synchronization of its email database and of its addressbook (actually Windows Address Book WAB format).

Sync calander with PCs and PDA

As you stated, sharing your Outlook Personal Folders file (.PST) is not supported by Microsoft.
However, there are other companies that make products that support sharing your PST.
Here is one:
http://www.officecalendar.com/slipstickshare.aspx

BTW: http://www.slipstick.com/index.htm is a great resource for finding Exchange/Outlook solutions.

Before experimenting I highly recommend that you close Outlook and make a copy of your .PST just in case you encounter problems.

I hope this helps.

Email forwarding

You can only sync your inbox through Activesync with Outlook not Outlook express. There is a full version of Outlook on the CD that came with the Axim. You should be able to move your data from OE into Outlook.

Sync problem w/outlook contact

I use my 548 to keep my work and home versions of Outlook syncronised. I have about 70 contacts stored. Three suggestions.. 1) Do you have enough free memory? Emails can take up megabytes, and for that reason I choose not to sync emails. 2) Are all of your contacts in the same Contacts folder? I have two contacts folders on my home Outlook, one for me and one for my wife, I only sync my contacts to my 548. 3) In Activesync, click on Options, Sync options, contacts, settings and make sure that "Syncronize all contacts" is checked
