My Sony cybershot dsc-w55 won't take pictures! I turn it on and the screen is black and says turn power off and on again. I did that already and it still says the same thing.the only thing I can do is see my pictures! I need help?!

But the lens do open and come out but then go back in!! That's when it says turn power off and on again!!

Your lens is stuck due to either being banged or bumped or there is dirt/grit inside the lens gears. The lens needs to be replaced, but buying a brand new lens is out of the question. Sony will charge $125 just for the lens assembly, it's crazy.

A refurb lens can be installed for about $75 including return shipping. You should check the replacement cost of a used camera and see which is cheaper in the long run.

Have a sony cybershot, and for some reason it wont take pictures in color, just black and white, and i cant seem to find a setting to change it to color.

put your camera mode in t "P" setting then go to menu & you should see color or pictue options to switch the color back to color....i have a cybershot dsc-w55 idk what u have but try that .... GOOD LUCK !
