Insert the installation CD into the drive and do the following: Start>Run D:\English\PostInstall\OutlookSwitcher.exe /outlook Where D: is your CD drive.

Unable to sync with outlook 2003

Try to change conduits to hotsync with PDS, if it will work then the problem is with the MSOutlook.

How do you get the Lifedrive to hotsync with MS Outlook 2003?

Check the USB and hotsync logs when you next try this. It will show what it did or couldn't do. That should give you an idea why the conduit isn;t talking to outlook. It may be a security setting in windows or outlook or the conduit needs to be setup.

Nothing major just annoying.

Compatablity with Exchange 2003

I believe you will have no problems. HotSync talks to the Outlook client rather than the server.

Hotsync Outlook with domino connector?

It's probably looking for names.nsf on your pc. Try c:\lotus\notes\data\names.nsf or search for it. The fact that it can sync email without error tells me that it's NOT looking for your id file (name.id). There's a slight chance that it's looking for your notes.ini file (c:\lotus\notes\notes.ini) on your pc.

Update to MS Outlook 2003 causes Hotsync error

delete local user name in desperation, after removing the user name from the handheld and still not getting any results or ANY syncs, I launched Chapura Settings from My Desktop, deleted my user name, re-created my same user name, same spelling, and then everything worked first time every time. I have the latest Pocket Mirror PMStdUpdate3171.exe loaded on top of what came on the installation CD. to sum up, I deleted the user name from both handheld and PC and recreated it only on the PC, then sync'd with outlook 2003 without even a reboot. good luck

HotSync Outlook 2003 with Tungsten E

I tried all the suggestions that were offered and gave up. But then out of pure craziness I loaded the treo 600 CD that came with my Treo 600 out of curiosity. It loaded and the MS Office 2003 conduits loaded nicely and the problem appears to be solved for now. So I tested and it the Tungsten E Hotsync's feature all appear to be okay. I'm not sure if this is the best solution but it solved a very frustrating problem. The version of Hotsync that loaded is 4.1.0. Hope this helps.

Zire 72 and Outlook 2003 - I think I've tried it all! Doesn't work....

you don't need pocketmirror for zire 72 because palm desktop have outlook conduits to handle outlook synching. inorder for you to sync using outlook you must have the outlook conduits installed which seems you have it already installed. you have to disable some older conduits inorder to avoid conflicts with the conduits. to do these follow these steps: 1. right click on the hotsync manager icon on your system tray 2. click on Custom... 3. select Date Book (Outlook) 4. click on Change... 5. select Do Nothing and set it to default 6. click Ok 7. repeats steps 3-6 for Address Book (Outlook), To Do List (Outlook) and Memo Pad (Outlook)

Sync fails with "too many open databases"

This is what I did to fix that error:

Hard-reset your Palm to erase all data (that usually involves pushing the small "reset" button on the back, then pressing the "power on" button until the device boots, and then pressing "up" to confirm the hard-reset)

After that, sync your palm. The sync software will ask if you want to use your existing profile or create a new one. Create a new one. Then the program will offer to sync your Outlook profile with your Palm. Click on "ok", and a message asking you to accept to sync your Outlook data with more than one profile will pop-up. Click on OK, again... and that's it!
