GE Side By Side Temp Won't Reset

If you have tried resetting the temperature settings to the default values and the temperature remains at -9°F in the fridge and 37°F in the freezer, there could be an issue with the fridge's cooling system. Here are some additional things to check:
1. Make sure the fridge is receiving power. Check to see if the fridge is plugged in and that the outlet is functioning properly.
2. Check the temperature control board. The temperature control board is responsible for regulating the temperature in the fridge. If it is faulty, it can cause the temperature to remain at a fixed, incorrect value.
3. Check the condenser coils. If the condenser coils are dirty or obstructed, it can cause the cooling system to malfunction and result in incorrect temperatures.
4. Check the door gasket. If the door gasket is damaged or not sealing properly, it can cause the temperature inside the fridge to become too warm.
If none of these solutions fix the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the fridge's cooling system. In this case, it is recommended to contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance.
Regarding the ice maker working intermittently, this could be caused by a variety of factors such as low water pressure, a faulty water inlet valve, or a problem with the ice maker itself. It is recommended to troubleshoot these issues separately.

If it has a thermocouple, replace that. They are cheap and easily available. They wear out after a few years.

OVEN FLAME TOO HIGH ON A A GE CONVERTED TO LP

You should have a pressure regulator between your stove and your propane bottle. It's probably delivering too much propane at too high of a pressure to the stove.. If you don't have a regulator, THAT would be your problem. A regulator set to too high a pressure makes flame too high and flame may even try to blow itself out. I've remedied this by taking a small cover off the center of the regulator and adjusting a screw.. (Not all regulators can be adjusted.) If adjusting isn't possible, I'd suggest a new pressure regulator (for LPG). Note: A regulator for LPG is NOT set up the same as a regulator for natural gas.

The power went out and now our GE refrigerator GFSS6KKX display on one side says 88 and the other is blinking back and forth from 86 and 88.

First try unplugging the unit for 7 minutes this usually causes the control to reset if it does not reset you may have to replace the control board 88 is a control issue. If you have any further questions message me back. I await your reply Thanks Rick

My 7 year old GE Profile Side by Side will not get

Self Diagnostics
To enter Self Diagnostic mode, both temperature control panel displays must be illuminated. A display
can be illuminated by pressing an adjacent temperature adjustment button. When both displays are
illuminated, set the freezer and refrigerator temperature settings to 5. Simultaneously press and hold all
4 temperature adjustment buttons for approximately 3 seconds. A flashing 0 in the refrigerator and
freezer displays will indicate that the refrigerator is in Self Diagnostic mode.

For temperature control panels with single-digit displays, the COLDER temperature adjustment button
will increment the numbers up and the WARMER temperature adjustment button will increment the
numbers down. Use the freezer temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in the
freezer display. Use the refrigerator temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in
the refrigerator display. When a test code has been entered, the displays will flash to confirm the test.
Press the HOLD button for 3 seconds to begin the test.
For temperature control panels with 3-digit displays, the COLDER temperature adjustment button will
increment the numbers down and the WARMER temperature adjustment button will increment the

The fridge gets very cold even when I turned down the temp to #1

You have air dampers in this fridge.
Adjust them to a warmer setting.
Look along the left wall down low beside the vegetable bins.
If this does not correct the problem you have electronic temp sensors that have gone bad.
A technician will be needed to determine that.
Keep your fingers crossed that the damper is too open.
Any adjustment will take 24 hours to be noticeable.
