Remove the battery and the memory card, and disconnect from computer, now push power and hold for at least 60 seconds to reset the processor ic, install memory card and battery, turn on camera settings should return to normal, if not! the systems control board is the problem.

There is only one thing that comes to mind: your rechargeable batteries are weak and don't reach the necessary operating voltage, or they could be the wrong type.

You need the Li-Ion type of rechargeables.

This is happening to mine as well. I don't know what to do!

i had the same problem, if you try to turn the lens in as if you turning a dile, the lens will go back in manually once you have the lens completly in again, as if the camera is switched off, then turn the camera back on at the power button and the camera will operate as normal, this worked for me i hope it works for you too.
