Unplug the printer from the power source to turn it off. Open the printer cover to access the cartridge area. If you see the paper jam, slowly and carefully pull the paper out of the printer. Avoid tearing the paper or avoid leaving torn pieces in the printer. This will cause future paper jams in the printer.
When all is clear, re-plug the printer into the power source. Load some paper and try to print again.

PRINTER IS JAMMED SHOWING ERROR

I had a similar problem, my printer was chewing the paper and then I was getting a jammed paper message. I looked inside but couldn't see much anything. I then removed (unscrewed) all the panels, and next I know, a culprit materialized, in other words, something fell inside the printer. I then managed to put it all back together, ended up with a few extra screws, but heck it works like a clockwork. God bless screwdrivers with magnetic tips, they made my life so easier.

Paper jam 202.33 Check rear door. I have checked and no paper jam.

the printer has either a switch with a little lever or an electronic sensor with like a little eye, some were around that rear door. its in the paper path. it makes sure the paper moves through this area OK. I've had the little arm get stuck closed or the little eye needing cleaning. ( a buildup of paper dust makes it think there's a piece of paper there ) clean and or fix sticking lever.
Also, don't let a that little piece of paper fool You. all it needs is the switch/sensor see it. ( tricked Me more than once. ) If You have had a paper jam just before the error, ( that's pretty much Your clue! )
Sometimes just cycling the power will correct the problem.
If all of this does not help, You may have a bad switch/sensor or circuit board. if that's the case, buying a new printer will be cheaper than the service call. ( if You have one of the personal printer's, NOT commercial)

Hope this helps, Ricky L

I have a Lexmark x2600 printer and when I stated printing many pieces went through and then jammed and won't move in either direction, the paper is really jammed in and I don't see any way to get...

Tips: Use only paper that is in good condition. Fan the paper before loading into the feeder to prevent sticking together. Use the specified media type and sizes for your model. Don't overload the feeder.

My Brother MFC 7340 says it has a paper jam so open the fron cover and pull it out. When I do this the rollers don't move and the paper won't budge. I don't want to force it. What do I do?

Hello.
Try simply unplugging the printer from the power, then waiting 2 mins and plugging it back in while pulling on the paper that is stuck.
This sometimes helps

I have a paper jam in my MFC -7420. I removed a sheet from the back but there is more stuck in the front. The message says to open front cover and remove drum. I have opened the front cover but...

Don't try to remove the drum by itself while it's still in the machine,
just simply remove the drum and toner cartridge together.

There is no lock you should just be able to pull the cartridge out.

The machine shows me that I have a paper jam on the adf but I don't see anything

If it is showing a paper jam and you do not see it then you need to look for a small piece of paper that might have ripped and is stuck in one of the sensors.

ESP5200printer,new,paper jam message

Hi slicknick58,

Paper jam message occurs when there are stuck papers inside the printer. There are several ways on how to correct this problem, either you remove the visible stuck paper manually or replace the toner or ink cartridge. Below are the steps you'll want to follow when this problem still occurs.

1. Turn off the printer. Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam.

2. Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.

3. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.

4. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

5. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

6. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper . Don't force anything.

7. Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

8. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path and try repeating the above steps again.

Hope it helps.
