The safety lock is usually triggered because there is a possible safety issue with your machine. As such, it should be reset by a technician.

I have the same problem, I have done what the book says but no luck yet. Have you figured out what happened? And do the experts really check the questions? Cause I asked a question awhile ago, and no answers. Help!

I found that the tension setting of 1 worked. The main problem was the machine had thread wound around behind the bobbin. I had to take the plates that are under the foot out, clean out the thread, oil the machine and use a spool of thread that had more weight than the little spool I was trying to use.

This is normally caused by lint in the bobbin area, the lint blocks the sensor causing it to be blind. Try cleaning the area and see if that helps.
